Duane Morris has appointed Susan A Laws (pictured) to the firm’s five-member Executive Committee.
Laws, the co-managing partner of the firm’s London office, focuses her corporate practice on business law and finance, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, and computer law. She is the first Duane Morris Executive Committee member from an office outside of the United States.
Laws replaces Sheila Hollis, partner and chair of the firm’s Washington, DC office. Hollis, a leading energy lawyer, served on the Executive Committee for more than 10 years.

Peak Reinsurance Company has appointed Jackie Wong (pictured) as Senior Vice President Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A).
Wong will be working closely with Peak Re’s senior management team to explore strategic opportunities and new business areas for the group.
Wong, with a track record in investment banking, brings to Peak Re a wealth of experience and knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance industry, having led on several notable insurance M&A transactions in the region. Mozzocci has over 20 years of experience in business development and alternative investment strategies. At Maranon, she will focus on fund raising and investor relations. Previously, Mozzocci was with Cantor Fitzgerald Investment Advisors, Crestline Investors, William Blair & Company, and Duff & Phelps Investment Management.
