Private equity firm Vector Capital has appointed Matthew Blodgett as a managing director.
Blodgett joins Vector having spent almost 14 years working with technology companies, including more than a decade as a technology investor.
He was most recently a partner at North Bridge Growth Equity and prior to that worked at Alta Communications and Bear Stearns.
Over his career, Blodgett has worked closely with founders and entrepreneurs building rapidly growing companies in the software, digital media, communications and technology-enabled services sectors.

The Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA) has made two key senior hires – Jennifer Choi to managing director, industry affairs, and Nicole Caty to managing director, membership and events.

Angel investors Stephen Houston and Peter Cowley are to join Angel CoFund’s 10-strong investment committee.
Houston is best known for his involvement with Halo, the business angel network for Northern Ireland, which in 2010 was named British Business Angels Association’s Angel Network of the Year. With a background in Fast Moving Consumer Goods and property, he brings to the role 25 years of management and start-up experience.
Cowley is a technology entrepreneur and angel investor, who is well known in the Cambridge enterprise scene, where he is a board member of the Cambridge Angels, as well as a Fellow
Offshore law firm Appleby has appointed Benjamin Woolf as partner.
Woolf is a member of the corporate and commercial practice group and specialises in structured finance and corporate transactions.
He also works on mergers and acquisitions, asset finance and subscription finance.

Growth private equity firm Keensight Capital has appointed Magdalena Svensson as the firm’s new investment director.
Svensson has 14 years of experience in the private equity industry.
Having started her career in 1998 in Sweden at Swedbank, she joined the Paris office of ABN Amro Capital in 2000. As investment manager and analyst, she was involved in the structuring and execution of over 20 investments. She subsequently joined XAnge Private Equity in 2004, following its acquisition of ABN Amro Capital’s small cap activities, first as investment director and subsequently as partner from 2012.
Jean-Michel Beghin, managing partner at
Gustavo Eiben has joined independent investment firm The Rohatyn Group (TRG) as a managing director.
Based in the firm’s New York office, Eiben will be responsible for business development in the Americas, while bringing his marketing expertise to TRG’s private markets business, which includes private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure and green energy funds.

Blue Sage Capital has promoted Jonathan Pearce and Eric Weiner to vice president with responsibility for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating structuring, managing due diligence, and closing investment opportunities and subsequent portfolio company monitoring.
Pearce joined the team in May 2013 after spending four years with Avista Capital Partners, a generalist middle-market private equity firm with USD5 billion under management. While at Avista, he focused on the evaluation and execution of investments primarily in the energy sector.

Moelis & Company has established a private funds advisory business which will provide capital raising, secondary and other independent advisory services to private fund sponsors and limited partners.
This business significantly expands the firm’s financial sponsors’ capabilities, having advised on more than USD300 billion of sponsor-related transactions over the past five years, and enhances its offering to institutional investors.

International legal, tax, fiduciary and fund services group Maitland has appointed David Kubilus to the newly-created role of head of business development, client management and marketing.
Kubilus (pictured), a US national, is an international executive with experience in both the US and Europe.
He will be based in Maitland’s London office, forming part of Maitland’s executive committee and reporting to CEO Steve Georgala.
For the past 16 years, Kubilus has worked for State Street and its affiliates in Boston and Luxembourg, most recently as head of business development in Luxembourg. Prior to State Street, he worked for American Express
Vistra, a provider of trust, corporate and fund administration services, has expanded its AIFMD depositary services in the Netherlands.
Vistra Netherlands has appointed Peter Soesbeek as a director to lead the expansion. He joins following a in corporate services groups and banking institutions, and has extensive experience in AIFMD depositary and structured finance services.
