Hastings Funds Management has appointed new members to its European infrastructure investment team.    Oliver Schubert joins the European infrastructure equity team as director infrastructure with more than 14 years’ experience as a senior infrastructure investment professional. He is fluent in German and French and is based in London.   Previously senior vice president at Macquarie Capital Europe, Schubert has significant experience in originating and executing M&A transactions, building teams and originating, structuring and syndicating debt financing packages, particularly in the electricity, gas and renewable energy industries.   Earlier in the year Hastings announced the expansion of its global infrastructure debt
Private equity firm TA Associates has added to its investment staff in its Boston and Menlo Park offices. Ethan K Liebermann and Emily C McGinty have rejoined the firm as vice presidents in the healthcare and consumer group in Boston. Jason S. Mironov has joined the firm as a vice president in the services group in Menlo Park. Liebermann focuses on investments in healthcare, consumer, retail and other services companies. Prior to attending graduate school, he served as an associate at TA Associates, responsible for investment origination, transaction execution and portfolio management in the firm’s healthcare and consumer group. Morgan Joseph TriArtisan has appointed Stephen Robb, a 20-year Wall Street veteran in investment banking and M&A advisory, as a managing director in the firm’s consumer, retail and leisure investment banking practice. “Steve’s broad background and experience will be a valuable addition to our firm’s mid-market practice in the key consumer, retail and restaurant sectors,” says Rohit Manocha, co-head of investment banking. “These are areas of mounting M&A and finance activity and, given his outstanding track record, having Steve on board will be highly beneficial to broadening our coverage, and serving our corporate constituents in these important sectors as well
Maven Capital Partners has appointed Alan Robertson as investment manager. He will work alongside David Milroy in Maven’s Central Scotland team, and will be based out of the Edinburgh office. Robertson (pictured) will focus on sourcing and executing new investment opportunities for the Scottish Loan Fund (SLF) as well as supporting new private equity transactions in Scotland. The SLF, which is managed by Maven, was established by the Scottish Investment Bank to address the demand for finance from eligible SMEs, and has a focus on supporting growth and export businesses that have an established presence in Scotland. CAI Private Equity has appointed Allan Weinstein as a managing partner.  Weinstein will lead the firm’s US investment effort, which is focused on energy and utility services, business and financial services, specialty/niche manufacturing, aerospace and healthcare. He will be based in CAI’s New York office. RBS Invoice Finance (RBSIF) has appointed Piers Harmer and Jon Hughes to the London-based RBSIF corporate team. Both are experienced in the invoice finance and asset based lending industries and join the bank as business development directors. They are new to RBSIF with Harmer joining from Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance and Hughes from GE Commercial Finance.   Harmer has national responsibility for financial sponsor coverage and will work closely with private equity houses to demonstrate the benefits of using ABL to support their transactions.
