Antin Infrastructure Partners has appointed Angelika Schöchlin as Partner and promoted Guillaume Friedel to Vice President.
Prior to joining Antin Infrastructure Partners, Schöchlin worked at Terra Firma as a Director based in Frankfurt. Angelika has over 12 years of experience in principal investing (including infrastructure) and corporate finance.

Growth Capital Partners (GCP) has hired Francesco Santinon as a partner and Graham Dewhirst as advisory partner who will also take a seat on the board and investment committee. Santinon joins from Spirit Capital where he was founder and managing partner, while Dewhirst was formerly a partner and head of investor relations at Bridgepoint.
Previously Santinon worked for Close Brothers Private Equity (now CBPE) and also in corporate finance at PWC. He brings with him a strong track record and 14 years experience of investing in GCP’s target areas.

The Guernsey and Jersey governments have announced that the current British Ambassador to Bulgaria, Steve Williams, will be heading up the islands’ new joint office in Brussels.
Williams will take on the role of Director of European Affairs at the Channel Islands’ Brussels Office on Monday 4 April 2011. He will be Guernsey and Jersey’s senior representative in Brussels, leading efforts to develop the islands’ influence, while advising the respective governments on European and international matters.

Thames River has strengthened its property team with the appointment of Raymond Lahaut as manager of the Longstone long/short real estate equity fund.
Since its launch in November 2007, Longstone has grown by 23.65% (figures from 30.11.07 to 31.12.10, for euro share class), a period in which the Dow Jones Credit Suisse Long/Short Equity Hedge Fund Index rose by only 3.7% and EPRA, an index of European listed real estate securities, fell by 32.4%.
