Clearlake Capital Group is to make a significant new equity investment in Dodge Construction Network (Dodge), an independent data platform supporting the multi-trillion-dollar US commercial construction industry. With this growth investment, Clearlake becomes an equal partner with existing DCN investor Symphony Technology Group (STG). Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.   Deutsche Bank Securities Inc, UBS Investment Bank, Wells Fargo, BMO Capital Markets and Security Benefit provided debt financing supporting the transaction.
Trading Technologies International (TT), a provider of professional trading software, infrastructure and data solutions to proprietary traders, brokers, money managers, CTAs, hedge funds, commercial hedgers and risk managers, has invested USD6.35 million in KRM22, a technology and software investment company focused on risk management for capital markets. This is the first investment TT has made since its acquisition by 7RIDGE in late December.   In addition, TT has entered into a distribution agreement to market and distribute KRM22 risk management products. Global alternative investment firm TPG has made a USD360 million investment in Fractal (fractal.ai), a global provider of artificial intelligence and advanced analytics solutions to Fortune 500 companies. The investment is bing made via TPG Capital Asia, the firm’s Asia-focused private equity platform, in a transaction that includes a combination of primary investment and secondary share purchase from Funds advised by Apax, who will remain a major shareholder following the transaction. Livingbridge has invested in UK-based Quorum Cyber, a cyber security services firm delivering managed detect and response capabilities to teams and organisations globally. The investment builds on Livingbridge’s track record in the cyber security space, which includes investments such as Adarma and TitanHQ.     Livingbridge’s investment includes growth capital to enable Quorum Cyber to capitalise on strong macro tailwinds in the cyber security sector and execute its ambitious growth plans through increased investment in its solutions as well as sales and marketing functions.
Corsair, a private equity firm targeting services, software, and payments investments in the financial services market, has acquired a majority stake in Aurora Payments (Aurora), a full-service payment solutions provider for small and medium sized businesses (SMBs) across a variety of industries. Founded in 2005, Aurora offers a one-stop-shop solution for partners and merchants seeking to accept and receive electronic payments. Aurora’s bundled offering provides merchants with a wide range of products, services, customer technology, and support capabilities, including point of sale (POS) equipment, transaction processing services, and the ability to transfer funds between banks and merchants.
Highview Capital (Highview) has acquired Watterson, a national facility services company that provides a full suite of services, including facilities management, environmental services, and emergency and disaster response. Over the last 20-plus years, the Company has built a strong base of long-term corporate clients, which includes leading brands in retail and commercial workspaces. Through its network of over 1,000 in-house and third-party service providers, Watterson has established a reputation for industry-leading response times and nationwide best-in-class customer service.   Following the close of the acquisition, Billy Watterson, Watterson’s founder, and Steve Peldiak, Watterson’s President, will both retain significant minority stakes
symplr, a specialist in enterprise healthcare operations including governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) SaaS solutions, backed by Clearlake Capital Group and Charlesbank Capital Partners, has agreed to acquire Midas Health Analytics Solutions (Midas) from Conduent Incorporated (Conduent).  The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2022, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.    Midas Health Analytics Solutions leverage a robust data warehouse with over 100 million claims and 30,000-plus indicators as well as comparative data from approximately 800 hospitals. HIG Capital (HIG) has completed a growth investment in IT solutions provider General Datatech (GDT). GDT is a multi-vendor IT solutions provider (ITSP) with a services-driven approach serving blue chip enterprises and government agencies across the globe. Founded in 1996, the Company offers its customers comprehensive solutions, including professional services, managed services, and the design, architecture and resale of OEM hardware, software, and maintenance.
Vietnam-based Anfin, a fintech firm with a proprietary stock trading platform, has raised USD1.2 million in a seed round led by Goodwater Capital and Global Founders Capital (GFC) – the latter coming in as a returning investor. Joining the round is a new investor, XA Network as well as First Check Ventures, another existing investor of Anfin’s. The fresh injection will be channelled into doubling down efforts to further develop Anfin’s platform to provide its retail investors real-time fractional share trading.   The investment comes at the heels of a recent agreement inked in December 2021 with Viet Tin Securities
Markerstudy has acquired BGL Insurance (BGLi) from BGL Group, a digital distributor of insurance and household financial services, subject to regulatory approval.  The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to complete during the first half of 2022.    Markerstudy was advised by KBW, Slaughter and May, and Oliver Wyman. BGL Group was advised by Fenchurch Advisory Partners and Dentons.
