American Water Works Company (AWK), a large publicly traded US water and wastewater utility company, is to sell its Homeowner Services Group to funds advised by Apax in a deal valued at approximately USD1.275 billion.
Upon closing of the transaction, American Water will receive USD480 million in cash and a USD720 million secured Seller’s Note bearing a 7 per cent annual interest rate with a five-year term. SatSure, a Bengaluru-based space-technology startup that builds decision insights using data from satellites for the banking and insurance sectors, has raised an undisclosed amount of equity funding led by Baring Private Equity India.
SatSure will use the capital to hire more people to grow its product portfolio and increase its international business footprint, while also capitalizing its high-resolution optical and multispectral payload demonstration mission in orbit that was announced earlier this year.

Trading Technologies International, (TT), a global provider of high-performance professional trading software, infrastructure and data solutions, is to be acquired by 7RIDGE, a specialised growth equity firm invested in transformative technologies.
7RIDGE will fuel Trading Technologies’ organic growth and enable the firm to make targeted strategic acquisitions in the future. Cboe Global Markets, Inc (Cboe: CBOE) and Singapore Exchange (SGX), who are among the limited partners of the fund managed by 7RIDGE, have voiced their support of the transaction. Terms of the transaction, expected to close before year-end subject to regulatory approvals, have not been disclosed.

RoadSafe Traffic Systems (RoadSafe), a US provider of traffic control and pavement marking services, has acquired Barricade Services & Sales (BSSI), a supplier of traffic control products and services in the Salt Lake City market.
The acquisition of BSSI further establishes RoadSafe’s position in the Mountain West region and expansion into the Utah market, one of the fastest-growing markets for traffic management in the US. Filipino social entertainment platform Kumu has raised a Series C led by General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm with more than 40 years of experience scaling disruptive businesses internationally. Existing investors Openspace and SIG also participated.
This transaction marks the largest equity financing to date for a Filipino startup not founded as a subsidiary or spinoff of an established conglomerate and brings total funding to date for the company to USD100 million. It also marks General Atlantic’s first investment in the Philippines.

T Rowe Price Group is to acquire alternative credit manager purchase Oak Hill Advisors and certain other entities that have common ownership for a purchase price of up to approximately USD4.2 billion.
USD3.3 billion is payable at closing, approximately 74 per cent in cash and 26 per cent in T Rowe Price common stock, and up to an additional USD900 million in cash upon the achievement of certain business milestones beginning in 2025.
