The Riverside Company to invest in German HR tech provider GFOS

An affiliated European fund of The Riverside Company, a lower middle market-focused global private investor, has agreed to invest in GFOS Group, a German software provider for workforce management, access control and manufacturing execution systems.

Headquartered in Essen, GFOS was founded by Burkhard Röhrig in 1988 and is now led by Katharina Van Meenen-Röhrig and Dr Ignace Van Meenen. The group serves various industries from the upper mid-market to the enterprise segment, amounting to more than 3,000 customers in over 30 countries.

Riverside’s investment will support GFOS’s digitalisation, organisational efficiency; employee satisfaction for its customers; and international expansion.

Riverside was founded in 1988 and has so far completed more than 270 investments in the software and IT sector.
