PineBridge Investments has closed PineBridge Secondary Opportunity Partners (PSOP) having raised over USD880 million in five months. The fund will aim to provide investors with access to a global and diversified private equity secondary portfolio.
The fund primarily provides clients with exposure to US middle-market buyout strategies, with additional global exposure, and has interests in mainly the industrials, consumer discretionary, financial and information technology sectors.
In March, the firm closed on the PineBridge Secondary Partners IV fund (PSP IV), raising USD568 million and surpassing its USD500 million target.

International law firm Fieldfisher has advised TSX-V-listed Canadian company, Strongbow Exploration, on successfully closing a conditional “synthetic” offtake agreement with specialist mining private equity fund, Orion Mine Finance.
Strongbow is the owner of South Crofty, the iconic former-producing copper and tin mine near Camborne and Pool in Cornwall. The company plans to bring the mine back into production following a proposed dual listing on London’s AIM market.
Strongbow announced its offtake deal with US-headquartered Orion on 17 October, marking yet another example of the use of non-traditional forms of financing in the mining sector.

Custom Glass Solutions has been acquired by affiliates of Stellex Capital Management (Stellex), a middle market private equity firm with offices in New York and London. The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Dutch investor Nimbus is to open offices in the United Kingdom as the company launches its fourth fund. Nimbus has appointed veteran investor Chris Clegg, a former Partner at Endless, to Chair their UK operations.

Limerston Capital-backed HR services group AdviserPlus has acquired Succeed Consultancy and made an investment in Elementsuite. The new deal is part of Limerston Capital’s bid to create the UK’s leading data and technology-enabled HR services group.

K4Connect, a technology company that creates solutions for older adults and individuals living with disabilities, has closed a USD12 million Series B funding round led by AXA Venture Partners.
This latest round brings the funding total to over USD22 million and will be used to further develop the Company’s K4Community solution and underlying Fusion platform/OS technologies. K4Connect will also use the proceeds to expand its customer base, which already includes over 13,000 residents across dozens of senior living communities from Florida to California, as well as to accelerate its partnerships across a spectrum of consumer and senior living-specific companies.
