International aircraft leasing business Avolon, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bohai Capital, is to acquire the aircraft leasing operations of CIT Group, creating a business with an owned, managed and committed fleet of 910 aircraft valued at over USD43 billion.
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and required regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2017.

New State Capital Partners has closed its first institutional investment fund, New State Capital Partners Fund, and associated parallel commitments, with USD131 million in committed capital.
Investors include pension funds, foundations, family offices and funds.
New State, which has in excess of USD370 million of assets under management, seeks to invest between USD10 million to USD45 million of equity per deal with an average of USD30 million. The firm targets investments in the healthcare services, business services, and industrials sectors.

Mademoiselle Desserts, a French producer of frozen pastries backed by Equistone Partners Europe, has acquired Quality Pastries, a Dutch producer of chilled and frozen pastries for retailers, restaurants and home service companies.
Mademoiselle Desserts (formerly Européenne des Desserts) employs circa 1,000 people across its six production facilities in France and the UK and covers 75 per cent of the French industrial pastries market.
The group recorded revenues of more than EUR175 million in 2015, with its main customers including major French and UK retailers such as Carrefour, Leclerc, Marks & Spencer, Picard, Brioche Dorée, Pomona and Brake.

An affiliate of private equity investment firm HIG Capital has acquired Dominion Colour Corporation (DCC), a provider of high performance colour pigment solutions and preparations for the coatings, plastics and specialty ink industries.
With over 400 customers in 70 countries worldwide, DCC colour solutions are used in a variety of end markets including automotive and architectural coatings, consumer and industrial plastics, and specialty inks.
Headquartered in Toronto, Canada, DCC has manufacturing facilities in Canada, the Netherlands, and the UK as well as technical sales offices throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia.

The Ufenau V German Asset Light fund, advised by Ufenau Capital Partners, has held its final closing at the fund’s hard cap of EUR227 million.

Abacus Group, a provider of hosted cloud IT solutions for alternative asset funds, has reported year-on-year growth of over 30 per cent up to the end of the third quarter of 2016.
The company’s employee count also exceeded 100 as it expanded its footprint in the Boston, Los Angeles and San Francisco markets.

A company backed by private equity firm Permira is to acquire Tricor, a provider of integrated business, corporate and investor services in Asia Pacific, from The Bank of East Asia (BEA) and NWS.
The total consideration amounts to HKD6,470 million (USD835 million), including at least HKD400 million (approximately USD50 million) in cash acquired as part of the transaction.
BEA and NWS Holdings hold 75.61 per cent and 24.39 per cent respectively, in Tricor, through East Asia Secretaries (BVI) Limited, which is Tricor's sole shareholder. Tricor’s management will become investors in Tricor alongside the Permira funds.
