Transaction activity in the infrastructure remains healthy, with 289 deals worth an aggregate USD75 billion, a slight drop in the number of deals and combined deal value for a second successive quarter. Omnes Capital is selling its majority stake in SIMP to the HCP Packaging group, owned by Baring Private Equity Asia. HCP is a specialist in the design, development and manufacture of prestige primary packaging for the cosmetics, skincare and fragrance industries.   Omnes acquired a stake in SIMP in 2011. Law firm Paul Hastings has advised FLSV Fund Administration Services (FAS) and its owners on its disposal to Sanne Group for a total consideration of USD65.8 million subject to customary adjustments. Development Partners International (DPI), an African private equity firm with USD1.1 billion under management, has acquired through its ADP II fund a stake in Général Emballage, a packaging business in Algeria, which specialises in the manufacturing and processing of corrugated cardboard.
