The Riverside Company, a global private investor focused on the smaller end of the middle market, has sold its portfolio company REPA to PT Holdings, a US distributor of repair and maintenance parts for the foodservice industry, backed by Berkshire Partners.
Riverside invested in REPA, a leading distributor of spare parts for professional foodservice customers in Europe, in October 2016. During the course of its investment, Riverside built REPA into a European market leader, with an expanding global footprint. In addition to continuous and organic growth, the company successfully acquired and integrated six add-on acquisitions in Italy, Spain, UK, Austria
European private equity firm IK Partners, via the IK Small Cap III Fund, is to acquire FCG, from international private equity group Bridgepoint.
The deal, which is subject to customary regulatory approvals, is expected to close in the second quarter of 2022. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
FCG is a GRC services provider, offering advisory, outsourcing, GRC technology and fund administration services to the financial services industry.

CBPE Capital (CBPE) has completed its investment in Direct Commercial Limited (DCL) and Carraig insurance Company Limited (Carraig) (together Direct Commercial Group, DCG) alongside Phil Cunningham (founder and CEO) and Management.
DCL is a commercial motor insurance specialist. As a full-service MGA (Managing General Underwriter/Agent), DCL provides underwriting services, offers policy administration and in-house claims handling.
The group also includes Carraig, an insurance carrier based in Gibraltar, which provides insurance capacity to DCL alongside Munich Re Group.
Phil Cunningham remains majority shareholder and fully committed to the business during the next phase of growth.

BluePeak has partnered with Ethos Mezzanine Partners, to jointly invest USD31.5 million in Grit in a transaction led by Ethos Mezzanine Partners.
The transaction marks the inaugural investment from the BluePeak Private Capital Fund SCSp (the Fund), an impact-linked private credit and mezzanine finance facility raised during the Covid-19 pandemic. BluePeak designs innovative financing solutions to scale mid-sized African businesses.
Amber Implants, a medical technology company developing next generation spinal implants for spinal injuries, has closed a USD10 million Series A Financing which was co-led by the firm’s founders and existing venture capital investors, with participation from angel investors and non-dilutive government funding.
Proceeds from the financing will be used to advance the Company’s revolutionary vertebral body augmentation system, VCFix®, through all preclinical verification and validation tests, ISO 13485 certification, regulatory activities, and an early feasibility clinical study and a pilot and pivotal clinical trial.

Pan-European growth debt platform, Atempo Growth (Atempo) has held the first close of its debut fund, with commitments of over USD200 million.

Verica, the continuous verification company using chaos engineering to make systems more reliable and less vulnerable to costly incidents, has raised USD12 million in Series A funding round led by Intel Capital.
True Ventures and Mango Capital also participated in the round which brings Verica’s total venture-backed funding to date to to USD17 million.
