The EQT VII Fund is to acquire AutoStore from Jakob Hatteland Holding AS and other minority owners.
AutoStore is an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) which uses robotics for collecting stored goods in a warehouse.
From the origin of the idea by Ingvar Hognaland in the Hatteland Group in the 1990s and delivery of the first commercialised system in 2005, AutoStore has experienced strong growth and is today a leading automated material handling solution.
AutoStore provides improvements in capacity, performance and cost and represents an optimal solution for meeting the growing demands for automated and efficient warehousing.
FS Investments’ business development company (BDC) direct lending platform committed approximately USD988 million in senior secured loans and other debt and equity financing to middle market companies in the third quarter of 2016, bringing its year-to-date total originations to more than USD2.2 billion.
New directly originated investments during the quarter were made in support of nine portfolio companies headquartered in seven US states.

Audax Private Equity has partnered with management to acquire Accent Food Services from Silver Oak Services Partners.
Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Accent, headquartered in Austin, Texas, is a provider of customised fresh food, snacks, and refreshment services to businesses, educational institutions, and property management companies. Accent supplies customised offerings for on-site micro markets, vending machines, and coffee and refreshment services.

NewStar Financial has closed the NewStar Berkeley Fund CLO, a USD505 million middle market collateralised loan obligation managed for qualified institutional investors.
The Berkeley Fund is the fourth credit fund sponsored by NewStar to co-invest in middle market commercial loans originated through its direct lending platform.
The Berkeley Fund is NewStar’s 21st securitisation since inception and third transaction completed in 2016. The notes offered through this CLO transaction are backed by a diversified portfolio of commercial loans originated and underwritten by NewStar for the benefit of investors.

Arma Partners has acted as financial adviser to EQT on the sale of its portfolio company, Automic, to CA Technologies at an enterprise valuation of EUR600 million.

Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) is to add Sound Harbor Partners, a US private credit manager led by Michael Zupon and Dean Criares, to its private debt platform.
AllianzGI will acquire Sound Harbor’s assets for an undisclosed sum and the Sound Harbor team will join AllianzGI.
The Sound Harbor team will become part of the AllianzGI global investment platform, maintaining the integrity of its investment strategy, process and team while accessing insights and knowledge-sharing among colleagues across the platform.

Central and Eastern Europe private equity fund Innova Capital has sold its 27 per cent stake in Wirtualna Polska Holding for PLN50 per share.
In 2014 the Innova Capital fund financed the acquisition of Wirtualna Polska from Orange Polska and its merger with the o2 Group.
The purpose of the PLN375 million transaction was to consolidate the e-market in Poland and introduce the group into the e-commerce market segment.

Albion Ventures has launched the Albion VCTs Top Up Offers and is seeking to raise up to GBP24 million across its six venture capital trusts.

Cvent, a cloud-based enterprise event management company, has been acquired by private equity firm Vista Equity Partners.
The USD1.65 billion transaction, originally announced on 18 April 2016, was completed on 29 November.
Cvent’s shareholders approved the agreement on 12 July 2016.
Following the transaction, Reggie Aggarwal will remain the chief executive officer and president of Cvent. Cvent will continue to operate as Cvent, Inc.
