Critical Start, a provider of Managed Detection and Response (MDR) cybersecurity solutions, has secured a $215 million strategic growth investment from Vista Equity Partners (Vista).
Commonfund Capital has closed its inaugural environmental sustainability fund, Commonfund Capital Environmental Sustainability Partners 2020 at $233 million.
The fund had strong support from a variety of limited partners globally including foundations, endowments, family offices, pensions, corporations, registered investment advisors and consultants.

International insurance broker Howden has acquired SPF Private Clients (SPF), subject to regulatory approval, from private equity fund manager Cabot Square.
SPF will join Howden’s UK & Ireland business to further enhance its position as the leading independent insurance distributor in the region.
SPF was formed in 2011 after a management buyout and rebrand of Savills Private Finance, the financial arm of Savills plc, before Cabot Square Capital (Cabot) acquired a majority stake in the business in 2018.

Azzure IT, a Sheffield-based IT services provider, has been acquired by Content+Cloud, the UK arm of Nordic IT services group Advania.

More alternative investment funds (AIFs) are being marketed to EU investors through Jersey using National Private Placement Regimes (NPPR) than ever before, according to the latest figures.
Recent data from the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) for the period ending 31 December 2021 shows that there are now 374 alternative investment funds, including private equity, venture capital, real estate and infrastructure, being marketed into the EU through Jersey via NPPR – a rise of 9% over the previous six months and 47% over the past five years.
In addition, the figures show that there are now 201 Jersey-registered alternative managers
