Coinpanion, an Austrian start-up for easy entry into the world of crypto investments, has increased its €1.8 million seed investment from last autumn to a total of €5.5 million making it one of the largest seed investments in Austrian start-up history.
Founded in Vienna, the FinTech platform Coinpanion enables anyone to profit from the cryptocurrency market without requiring in-depth knowledge.

Aquila Capital’s Aquila Capital Infrastructure Fund (ACIF) is continuing to deliver attractive and stable performance in its fifth year.
After the company announced in April 2020 that the fund volume had reached €200 million, ACIF’s volume has since doubled due to continued high interest from investors and stands at more than €400 million today.

Applied Monitoring, the Durham-based developer of sensor technology that can detect alcohol and drugs in a person’s blood by scanning their skin, has raised a £600,000 investment to enable it to commercialise its product.
The funding round was co-led by the North East Venture Fund (NEVF), supported by the European Regional Development Fund and managed by Mercia, and the Finance Durham Fund, managed by Maven Capital Partners, established by Durham County Council and overseen by Business Durham.
The deal also includes a £100,000 investment from the Centre of Processing Innovation to support further research and development of its technology.

Traub Capital Partners (TCP), a consumer-focused private equity firm, has appointed Nathan Mullaney and Richard Lenskold, as Vice President and Associate, respectively.

Rathbone Greenbank Investments (Greenbank) has appointed Marian Woodward as impact manager.
She will be based in Rathbones’ London office and will report to Kate Elliot, Head of Ethical, Sustainable and Impact Research.
In the role of impact manager, Woodward will work closely with Greenbank’s investment teams based in London, Bristol, Liverpool and Scotland. She will be responsible for leading the enhancement of Greenbank’s impact investment offering, including identifying further impact investment opportunities for clients and developing Greenbank’s impact reporting.
PFR Ventures invested €22 million (PLN 100 million) into two private debt funds – Polish CVI and UK-based Beechbrook.
Both provide debt financing to companies. With this deal, PFR Ventures has broadened its PFR PE programme to include such funds.

Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Founded in 2006 by three brothers (Colin, Nigel and Steve Chantler), Triangle Fire Systems specialises in the design, installation, and maintenance of sprinkler systems in domestic, commercial and retail buildings across the UK.
