Longpoint Partners (Longpoint), a Boston-based real estate investment company, has closed its joint venture with Brookfield through its Real Estate Secondaries business.
The joint venture has recapitalised a USD700-million, 3.8 million sq ft national logistics portfolio that was held in one of Longpoint’s closed-end funds. Longpoint will maintain an interest in the portfolio and continue to manage the day-to-day operations.

Kirkland & Ellis has advised Australian private equity firm BGH Capital on the successful closing of its second vintage flagship private equity fund, BGH Capital Fund II, at approximately AUSD3.6 billion, making it the largest-ever private equity vehicle raised for deployment in Australia and New Zealand.
The fund was oversubscribed with a broad mix of global institutional investors, including sovereigns, pensions, endowments and fund of funds.
Kirkland also represented BGH Capital in raising its debut fund, BGH Capital Fund I, which was the largest first-time fund raised for Australia and New Zealand at AUD2.6 billion in 2018.

Private equity firm Thompson Street Capital Partners (TSCP) has completed the sale of Alpaca Audiology (Alpaca), a US-based independent audiology clinic group, to Sonova Holding AG.
Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Alpaca comprises 13 regional brands, operating in more than 220 clinics across the country.
Stellus Capital Management has reported significant year-over-year increases in capital deployed and capital committed, as well as a considerable increase in the firm’s total number of investments.
In 2021, Stellus deployed USD761 million of new capital, a year-over-year increase of 122 per cent, and committed USD870 million of new capital, a 155 per cent year-over-year increase.
Stella’s also I=increased its number of new portfolio investments by 39 per cent year-over-year, and reached USD2.4 billion in assets under management, as of 1 February, 2022.

Pristine Surgical will apply the funding toward commercialisation of its single-use visualisation platform developed for surgical and diagnostic endoscopic procedures.
Ceros focuses on fundraising for early-stage medical technology and medical device companies that are developing disruptive technologies, particularly for diagnostic and non-invasive procedures. The firm is targeting to raise USD150 million this year. Ceros completed USD117 million in transactions in the medtech sector in 2021 and USD145 million since 2020.
NatWest Trustee and Depositary Services has been appointed as the depositary for Beechbrook Capital’s latest fund in its UK SME strategy, Beechbrook UK SME Credit III LP.
Beechbrook Capital is a specialist direct lender which focuses on investments in small to medium-sized businesses (SMEs) across a range of industries in the UK and Europe. Since its formation in 2008, the debt manager has raised cEUR1bn across seven funds and has invested in 82 companies in the European lower mid-market.
