Adams Street Partners, a private markets investing firm with over USD51 billion of assets under management, has released its 2022 Global Investor Survey which reports that 86 per cent of respondents believe private markets will outperform their public market equivalents over the long term.

German venture capital firm MIG Capital AG has closed a EUR3 million seed financing for French start-up Inbolt.  Led by MIG, the current round of financing involves SOSV, a global early-stage investor, BNP Paribas Development, the VC arm of the major French bank, and Laurent Dassault, one of France’s leading industrialists. SeaBeLife, a biotech company developing drug candidates intended to block cell necrosis, has received EUR1.37 million (USD1.49 million) in financing from Bpifrance.  This financing, which has been granted in connection with the French government’s ‘Deeptech Plan’, will contribute to research into first-in-class drug candidates for the treatment of acute liver, kidney, heart and brain disease.   These funds will enable SeaBeLife to develop drug candidates with the unique ability to simultaneously inhibit necroptosis and ferroptosis, two modes of regulated cell death that are activated in individuals living with certain pathologies.
