Funds advised by Apax Partners have acquired Authority Brands, a North American franchisor of home services, from PNC Riverarch Capital. The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.   Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, Authority Brands is the parent company of two home services franchisors: The Cleaning Authority, which provides residential cleaning services to over 100,000 customers across the US, and Homewatch CareGivers, which delivers at-home services including elderly, disabled and after-surgery care, as well as help for those living with dementia. Investec Aviation Finance has launched its fourth aircraft leasing fund to acquire some of the latest generation Airbus and Boeing narrow and widebody aircraft, on lease to a range of international airlines. The team has a 10-plus-year track record in the space having successfully exited their previous three equity leasing funds.   The new fund is targeting up to 50 aircraft acquisitions and has an expected lifecycle of seven years. Schroders has diversified its Solutions business with the appointment of a dedicated private assets investment specialist.    Ped Phrompechrut has joined as a Solutions Manager, a new role, based in London. He will report into Neil Walton, Head of Investment Solutions.   Ped will work with clients globally to provide investment strategy and portfolio construction advice, with a particular focus on delivering private market solutions. Yukon Partners (Yukon) has appointed Elliot Lynch as a Vice President in its investment team. Lynch’s responsibilities will include working with the Yukon team on overall investment activities. Octopus Investments, part of Octopus Group, has announced a GBP10 million over allotment facility for its current AIM VCTs fundraise. Octopus has rapidly reached the initial GBP20 million target within just seven weeks and is now offering a further GBP10 million of fundraising capacity to meet investor demand.   The VCTs have existing portfolios of around 75 companies which have been built over a number of years and aim to provide investors with long-term growth as well as income through their established dividend policies. L1 Treasury and Airborne Capital have launched AltitudeOne Aviation with plans to acquire a portfolio of leased in-production narrow body and wide body commercial aircraft. L1 Treasury and Airborne Capital have committed equity capital of approximately USD250 million to AltitudeOne Aviation, which will be supplemented with bank financing. Investcorp has appointed Sir Michael Fallon, a British Member of Parliament and former Secretary of State for Defence, to the firm’s International Advisory Board. Fallon has served as a British Member of Parliament for more than three decades.
