Carey Olsen’s investment funds team in Jersey has advised private equity firm Epiris on the launch and final closing of its UK-focussed buyout fund, Epiris Fund II, at GBP821 million.
The fund, which has already made four acquisitions, has secured commitments from some of the world’s leading private equity investors, including public and private pension funds (34 per cent), endowments and foundations (30 per cent), asset managers (22 per cent) and private investors (14 per cent).

Halcyon Capital Management (Halcyon) has sold minority stakes to TPG Sixth Street Partners (TSSP), the global credit and credit-related investment platform, and to Dyal Capital Partners (Dyal), a division of Neuberger Berman Group.
TSSP has made a new minority investment in the firm, while Dyal has invested additional capital to increase its existing minority investment, resulting in its ownership stake approaching its initial 2012 investment.

Accordion, a private equity-focussed financial consulting and technology firm, has received a significant minority investment from FFL Partners, a private equity firm focused on growth investments in middle market companies.
The investment will be used to expand Accordion’s service offerings for private equity-backed CFOs and their finance teams, attract and acquire additional talent, spur continued geographic expansion, and support the ongoing development of Accordion’s portfolio operations SaaS platform.

Virtual reality provider ARena Space has attracted investments of USD7.7 million from the processing company Rucard. The deal was structured by a venture fund IP Fund.
Financing will be directed primarily to the development of the company in the international market. In particular, ARena Space will open its branch in Amsterdam.
The money also will be spent on the development of VR and AR products for the mass market, the creation of a fund for developers of virtual and augmented reality content and a network of new-generation VR parks in Europe and the USA. The company is already in

The partnership is part of Global Private Banking’s initiative to enhance investment management capabilities and expand its product offering for high-net-worth clients.

There will be new issuance of GBP11.3 billion in listed investment companies over the next three years with two thirds of this new issuance to occur in alternative investments, according to Joachim Klement (pictured), Head of Investment Research at Fidante Partners.
