CoInvestor, a new service enabling private investors to co-invest alongside professional Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) fund managers, today announced that Oxford Capital and MMC Ventures are joining the CoInvestor platform in order to provide opportunities for registered users to co-invest alongside them on a deal by deal basis.
The announcement says it will give private investors the opportunity to take part in EIS investments led by Oxford Capital and MMC Ventures, two award winning fund managers that are regularly rated among the most active venture investors in the UK.

The British Business Bankhas agreed to provide a GBP51 million facility to LDF, a non-bank finance provider, to fund a portfolio of newly originated small business asset finance receivables.
The transaction, which is 50 per cent guaranteed by the European Investment Fund, is the second of the British Business Bank’s ENABLE Funding programme, which aims to increase significantly the supply of leasing and asset finance to smaller businesses in the UK. BBVA has increased its financial technology (fintech) fund to USD250 million and formed a partnership with Propel Venture Partners (Propel). BBVA will invest its USD250 million in Propel's funds as a limited partner, and Propel will manage the investment independently in a move designed to ensure the capital continues to be invested in the best digital financial services startups.

Varsity Healthcare Partners (VHP) has sold its majority interest in Forefront Dermatology (Forefront or the Company) to OMERS Private Equity, the private equity arm of OMERS. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
VHP acquired a majority stake in Forefront, one of the nation’s largest and most reputable providers of practice management services to dermatology clinics, in May 2014. Since the VHP investment, Forefront has rapidly grown from 37 clinics with 42 board-certified dermatologists operating in three states, to 82 clinics with 90 board-certified dermatologists operating in 11 states.

EFG Fund Services has been selected as full service provider to Index Ventures’ latest fund; its third Index fund appointment in as many years.
Index Ventures VIII is a Jersey Expert Fund which has raised USD 550m in commitments and will continue Index Ventures’ seed and venture investment in technology start-ups.
EFG Fund Services’ has a 16 year working relationship with Index, this being the ninth fund to which EFG Fund Services has been appointed and the third in the last three years.
The new fund follows less than a year after the launch of Index Ventures Growth
Private equity firm Ashurst has advised Liberty Hall Capital Partners on the acquisition of AIM Aerospace, an independent supplier of composite ducting, substructural and interiors parts for the commercial aerospace industry.
The transaction is valued at GBP182 million. After completion of the acquisition, AIM Aerospace, which represents Liberty Hall's second platform acquisition, will support the company's new strategy to create a fully integrated, diversified composites supplier network through organic investments and planned acquisitions.
