JP Morgan Asset Management Global Real Assets (GRA) has launched Tactical Direct Investments (TDI), a dedicated cross-real assets group.
Under the leadership of Avik Mukhopadhyay, Head of Global Real Assets Tactical Direct Investments, the TDI team will help clients access new opportunities by leveraging the global investment capabilities of the USD82 billion in AUM GRA platform and GRA's long and successful track record of direct investing. GRA currently manages or advises more than USD17 billion of direct and co-investment transactions globally on behalf of clients.

Victory Park Capital (VPC) has secured a USD51 million credit facility from GE Capital, Franchise Finance and Citizen’s Bank to refinance existing VPC debt and fund long-term growth initiatives of Giordano’s pizza restaurant chain based in Chicago.
The credit facility will contribute to corporate and franchise expansion in key markets outside of Chicago and help fund the development of business enhancements impacting Giordano’s growth strategy.

Le Duff Group, headquartered in France, has acquired the majority of the shares in Kamps GmbH from German Equity Partners III (GEP III), a fund managed by ECM Equity Capital Management (ECM).
The acquisition strengthens its presence in the German quick service gastronomy and bakery market. As part of the envisaged transaction, the Kamps management team, headed by CEO Jaap Schalken, will reinvest into the company and continue to lead Kamps on its growth path as well as support the expansion of Le Duff Group in the German market. Private equity firm M/C Partners has invested in and acquired a majority interest in Denovo, a provider of ERP cloud hosting, consulting and managed services.
The financing will enable Denovo to make acquisitions and invest in the development of its cloud and managed services offerings while providing liquidity for its founders. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Mesirow Advanced Strategies has named Mark Kulpins as co-chief investment officer (Co-CIO).
Kulpins will work alongside Steve Vogt, who previously served as sole chief investment officer. “We’re pleased to recognise Mark’s valuable contributions to the investment team and to our investment performance,” says Tom Macina, chief executive officer of Mesirow Advanced Strategies, Inc.
