RAM Tracking (RAM, a portfolio company of H2 Equity Partners, has acquired Rewire Security (Rewire), a UK-based, SaaS-enabled fleet management business with a subscription base of c45,000 across a largely SME customer base. The Rewire acquisition represents a further step towards RAM realising its ambition of becoming the clear number one operator in the UK’s growing SME fleet management market. RAM’s total subscription base now stands at c175,000 which collectively generates revenues in excess of £20 million.  As part of the transaction, RAM also acquired Rewire’s nascent European operation, thereby providing it with access to a new highly attractive fleet

Bagnall Energy Limited, the renewable energy and infrastructure arm of Downing Estate Planning Service, has agreed to acquire a 30MW onshore wind farm in Finland at the commencement of operations. The Konttisuo wind farm is located near Soini in the region of Southern Ostrobothnia and once constructed will produce enough electricity to power the equivalent of c37,000 UK homes a year. Construction is scheduled to be completed in Q2 this year. The acquisition represents Downing’s first investment in Finland and Bagnall’s second technology in the Nordic region.
Challenger bank, Recognise Bank, will benefit from £8.7 million in new capital following its latest funding round led by the City of London Group (CoLG), the bank’s parent company. This means CoLG has so far raised almost £65 million in investment during its mission to create a new business bank for UK SMEs. Recognise recently achieved £100 million in lending, little more than six months after receiving its full authorisation by the PRA in September 2021. Its personal savings accounts have topped the best-buy tables, attracting £95 million in deposits so far, followed by the launch of business savings accounts

AXA IM Alts, acting on behalf of clients, and Swiss Life Asset Managers, have agreed a new joint venture to acquire Spanish fibre business lyntia Networks from Antin Infrastructure Partners. lyntia Networks is a wholesale operator in the Spanish telecommunications market and the only neutral provider operating both lit and dark fibre, where it is the market leader.    Antin Infrastructure Partners will continue to own and operate the lyntia Access business which provides wholesale Fibre to the Home (FTTH) connectivity to residential properties.   Following this transaction, José Antonio López, will continue as CEO of lyntia Networks, while Eduardo
Northwest based multi-family investment office Arete has led a £3 million funding round into an online retailer specialising in stoves, fireplaces and outdoor living, together with backing from newly launched TDC (Tosca Debt Capital) Impact Fund.
Altamont Capital Partners has acquired a majority stake and made a $150 million growth capital commitment to Fleming Holdings (Fleming). The funding will be used to help Fleiming grow into an all-encompassing capital solutions provider to property and casualty (P&C) insurance companies. Fleming is a P&C insurance capital solutions provider with a current focus on run-off and legacy reserve transactions. The company, run by Eric Haller, was founded by Fleming Corp, a private equity fund based in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Allspring Global Investments (Allspring), an independent asset manager with more than $541 billion in assets under management, has added two senior hires to its legal team. Chris Rohrbacher joins Allspring as Deputy General Counsel, reporting to Kate McKinley, Chief Legal Officer. Rohrbacher leads the teams that provide legal support to Allspring’s US-registered and private funds, registered investment advisers and broker-dealer, institutional distribution channels, and fund boards.  Heather White joins Allspring as Global Human Resources and Employment Senior Counsel, reporting to Kate McKinley. White is responsible for advising on Allspring’s legal HR matters, with respect to employment, compensation, and benefits.
Small and mid-sized enterprise (SME) finance platform Crowdz has secured $10 million in investment, led by Citi and Global Cleantech Capital, with participation from Bold Capital Partners, TFX Capital, and Augment Ventures. Citi’s investment was led by the Spread Products Investment Technologies (SPRINT) team, the strategic investing arm of the bank’s industry-leading Global Spread Products division. Existing investor Global Cleantech Capital, a Netherlands-based growth venture capital firm, joined Citi in leading the round. Existing investors Bold Capital Partners, TFX Ventures, and Augment Ventures also participated, bringing Crowdz’s total capital raised to $25.5 million. The capital will be used to fund
