Beauty Industry Group (BIG), a specialist in hair solutions, has acquired BELLAMI Hair (BELLAMI), hair extensions and haircare brand.
BIG will support BELLAMI as it advances its differentiated go-to-market strategy and grows its strong consumer following to build on its current momentum. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Co-Founders Nikki Eslami, who will continue to serve as an advisor, and Julius Salerno, Chief Executive Officer, started BELLAMI in 2012.

Rupert Brown has been promoted to senior investment director and moves across to the Impact team, whilst the Buyout team has welcomed new recruit Carly Sinicrope as investment manager. Both will be based in the London office.

Monroe Capital has appointed Gila Cohen as Managing Director, Head of Global Institutional Partnerships based in the firm’s New York office.
She will be responsible for new initiatives to expand Monroe’s global footprint, among institutional investors, focusing on the high growth Opportunistic and Real Estate private credit areas of the firm.
Prior to Monroe, Cohen was Chief Investment Strategy Officer of MUFG (USA), and was responsible for advising, directing, and governing the strategic alternatives investment portfolio, as well as playing a strategic role in the firmwide missions for ESG and DEI.
International web hosting business, Miss Group, has acquired Swedish web hosting business, Cloudnet.
Headquartered in Stockholm, Cloudnet was established in 2010 and has grown to become Sweden’s largest managed hosting company specialising in the operating system Linux.
Cloudnet currently services c500 SME customers primarily located in Sweden. In the year ending December 2021, Cloudnet reported revenues of SEK25 million.
The company will join Miss Group’s growing team of over 300 people, adding to its customer base of >700,000 businesses globally in the Nordic and DACH regions, Europe and North America.
Latham & Watkins has advised private equity fund manager Capital D on the sale of Qmee, a Reading, UK-based app survey platform and fraud prevention technology provider, to Kantar, a marketing data and analytics company.
The transaction is expected to close in June 2022.
Qmee offers brands access to consumers’ opinions and attitudes via a fun and easy to use app. Post-completion, Qmee will become a part of Kantar’s Profiles Division, which is responsible for primary research within Kantar.

BGF has added Daria Polunina to its team in London as a portfolio manager.
Polunina joins BGF from Saphir Capital Partners, where she spent almost ten years as Director of the firm’s London office. Polunina also brings experience of managing and sitting on boards of UK-based portfolio companies as well as providing M&A advisory on buy-side mandates for external clients.
In her role at BGF, Polunina will be working closely with CEOs and business owners in the company’s portfolio and liaising with the portfolio’s management teams. She will also sit on the boards of portfolio companies including Apex Housing
