Crestbridge has appointed Paul Phelan as head of risk and compliance – Ireland, as the business continues to enhance its platform in Dublin. Phelan has over 24 years’ pf financial services experience specifically related to the administration and management of regulated multi-domiciled investment fund products.  Phelan, who is an approved person under fitness and probity requirements by the Central Bank of Ireland, joins Crestbridge Link Group where he had headed up the compliance function in Ireland.  Phelan holds a variety of certifications from the Institute of Bankers in Ireland, is a Licentiate of Compliance Institute, and holds fellowship status with
Dextra Partners, a multi-strategy private equity firm focused on the middle market, has hired five new team members across several functions. The new team members all previously worked together with Dextra’s six founding partners at their prior firm, GoldPoint Partners.  They new recruits are: Richard Hung – Principal, Investments; Alexander Krostich – Senior Associate, Investments; Gabriella Paradiso – Senior Associate, Investor Relations & ESG; Danielle Rounick – Director, Investor Relations & Business Development; and Leonidas Vasilakos – Vice President, Investments. Troy Broderick has been promoted to be the new chief operating officer of Goldman Sachs Group’s global mergers and acquisitions business, according to report by Reuters citing an internal memo as confirming the appointment.
Laub Capital, a distressed asset investment fund with a focus on investment in European non-performing loans, has appointed Andrea Novak as chief financial officer based in the firm’s Budapest office.  
Paul Hastings has appointed private equity lawyer Samantha McGonigle as a partner in the firm’s London office. McGonigle is a former private equity partner at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP and co-founder of a PE firm that invests in growth-focused enterprise technology companies across Europe. Paul Hastings has grown its London office over the past 12 months with 10 lateral partners, including a Band 1 global finance team, top-ranked infrastructure and energy partners Jessamy Gallagher and Stuart Rowson, leading high-yield partner Patrick Bright, IP litigation partner Jason Raeburn, and private equity and M&A specialist Tom Cartwright, among others.  Globally, the

Allied Industrial Partners, an operationally focused lower-middle market private equity firm based in Texas, has made three senior executive appointments at its Houston headquarters and one staff promotion.
Great Point Partners, a Greenwich, Connecticut-based private investment firm, has opened an office in London as part of its strategy to integrate its North American and European operations to support existing and prospective portfolio companies.
