FIRSTavenue, a global private funds placement agent and investment advisory firm specialising in private credit, real assets, private equity and associated capital solutions, has made five new hires across the firm’s Project Management and Marketing teams.
The appointments across the firm’s London and New York offices will serve to enhance its client advisory services to blue-chip GPs globally, as well as to strengthen the firm’s distribution capabilities to institutional investors.

Cubera Private Equity has appointed Reidun Tysseland as the firm’s new Managing Partner.
Tysseland has an extensive background in international capital markets and has successfully led large growth initiatives for DNB, first as head of debt capital markets in London and later as global head of corporate Finance.
Tysseland recently served as head of private banking at DNB and in her latest role as CEO of Njord Securities/Njord Group.
Francisco Partners (FP), an investment firm that specialises in partnering with technology businesses, has added Paul Cormier, Matt Dircks, Joe Kim and Dr Ford Tamer to its operating team, Francisco Partners Consulting (FPC), as Senior Operating Partners.
FPC now has over 40 operating executives that are providing value-creation support to FP portfolio companies.
Cormier, Chairman of Red Hat, continues in that role while also joining FPC as a Senior Operating Partner. Cormier became Red Hat’s Chairman in July 2022 after most recently serving as the company’s President and CEO.

Thomas H Lee Partners (THL), a private equity firm investing in middle-market growth companies, has appointed Paul Black as a consultant for the firm’s healthcare investment group.
Black, who brings more than 25 years of experience leading companies in healthcare information technology (Healthcare IT), will support the team’s efforts in identifying, sourcing, and growing investment opportunities across the healthcare market.
In this role, Black will support the healthcare group in deal sourcing, due diligence for potential investments, and developing new relationships with founders and management teams across the healthcare landscape. He will also serve as an advisor to portfolio companies
Wynnchurch Capital (Wynnchurch), a middle-market private equity firm, has added Andrew Singer as Principal, and Rohan Shah, Annie Masciopinto, and Peter Alexander as Associates in its investment team.
In addition, the finance and administration teams have also been expanded with the appointments of Julia Pollex, Jackie Hurley, and Alexandra Zieminski.
Singer previously served as a Principal at Pamplona Capital Management, where he led and executed transactions for over 9 years. Prior to Pamplona, he worked in the M&A practice at BofA Merrill Lynch, concentrating on branded consumer and retail transactions.

Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison has appointed Bosco Yiu as a partner in the firm’s Corporate Department in Hong Kong. Yiu’s practice focuses on private equity investments, M&A transactions, Hong Kong IPOs and general regulatory and compliance advice.
Yiu joins several other Paul, Weiss partners in Asia, including Managing Partner of the China Practice, Judie Ng Shortell, who relocated back to Hong Kong from Beijing in June, and Corporate partner Greg Liu, who is Beijing-based and active in both Hong Kong and China.

UK mid-market private equity firm LDC has added two to its North East and Scotland team with the appointment of Aaron Lawson-Clark as an Investment Director and Emma Borrie as an Investment Manager.
With more than 15 years’ experience across private equity and corporate banking, Lawson-Clark has spent his career supporting the growth of scale-up to mid-sized businesses across all sectors of the economy. He joins from Mercia Asset Management, and was formerly at NVM Private Equity, where he led multiple transactions across the UK and joined the board of a portfolio of scale-up businesses to support their growth.
Inflexion has appointed Freddy West as Talent Director. West brings significant experience of working with private equity portfolio companies to apply talent and human capital best practices to accelerate the growth of their businesses.
West joins from British International Investment (formerly CDC Group), where she served as Director of Portfolio Management for seven years, leading their Human Capital function and supporting the Chairs, CEOs and Executives across their global portfolio companies. In her time there she helped enhance the firm’s investment process, expand their expert networks and drive portfolio company growth.

Adams Street Partners, a private markets investment firm with more than $50 billion of assets under management, is promoting Brijesh Jeevarathnam to partner & global head of fund investments.
Jeevarathnam, who joined Adams Street as a Partner in Primary Investments in 2016, will also become a member of the firm’s Executive Committee as part of his new role.
Jeevarathnam succeeds Kelly Meldrum, who is retiring after 17 years as a partner & head of primary investments at the firm. Meldrum will transition her duties at year-end and will make herself available through the end of Q1 2023.
