Nick Burley, the former Chief Financial Officer at European healthcare services business Alliance Medical, has joined the new Capital Solutions team at sustainable investment manager Downing LLP.
Burley will join Downing’s Capital Solutions team and partner with former M&G Fund Manager Paul Taylor, who recently joined Downing. Downing’s newly established team will launch a series of new investment activities and funds, managing capital on behalf of institutional investors.
With over 30 years of operational and transactional experience, Burley will lead strategic transactions and work closely with investors to deliver the ambitious growth plans of the Capital Solutions team.

Jorge ‘Jordie’ Olivella, BlackRock’s Miami-based head of US offshore distribution has quit the company to join private equity firm KKR as head of Latin America wealth, according to a report by Citywire.
Olivella ended his six-year stay at the US asset manager last month, having most recently headed its offshore fund distribution efforts and helped develop BlackRock’s commercial offshore strategy.
At KKR, Olivella will have respsonibility for building and managing relationships with US financial advisors and RIAs that serve Latin American clients, as well as wealth platforms in the region.

17Capital, a source of strategic financing for investors in private equity, has appointed Drew Fox as managing director, investor relations and fundraising, North America.
Based in 17Capital’s New York office, Fox will lead 17Capital’s investor relations team in North America, continuing to develop 17Capital’s relationships with investors, and helping to grow the firm’s investment capital base.

CBRE Investment Management (CBRE IM) has appointed Gioia Torresi and Pav Lamba as Directors in its European Direct Private Infrastructure team.
Reporting to the head of the European infrastructure investment practice, Lamba will be responsible for making European direct investments whilst Torresi will focus on the asset management of the European direct infrastructure portfolio and on sustainability and governance.
With 10 years of experience within the investment and advisory industries across London and Toronto, Lamba will source, execute and asset manage infrastructure investments as part of the team in London.

Kieren joins from Aksia, where she was a Portfolio Advisor on Private Markets, supporting the firm’s efforts for European institutional clients in private equity and private credit.
