Boomi, a specialist in intelligent connectivity and automation, has appointed David Meredith as Chief Executive Officer, effective 31 January, 2022.  The appointment follows Boomi’s recently closed USD4 billion acquisition by technology investors Francisco Partners and TPG. Meredith comes to Boomi from NASDAQ-listed Everbridge, where during his tenure as CEO, the company experienced rapid revenue growth. He brings to Boomi over 25 years of executive leadership across both multi-billion-dollar public companies as well as private equity-backed technology platforms. Meredith will succeed Chris McNabb, who plans to retire.
Venture capital firm Sapphire Ventures is planning to significantly expand its European investment activities over the coming year, having raised USD2 billion in new capital commitments for investments in late-stage technology companies across the US, Europe and Israel.  This is the firm’s largest fundraise to date and comes across Sapphire Ventures Fund VI (Fund VI) and Sapphire Ventures Opportunity Fund III (Opportunity Fund III). This latest fundraise brings the firm’s AUM to USD8.8 billion. Renewable energy investment and asset management platform Low Carbon has appointed Harriet Parker as its Sustainability and ESG Manager.  Parker joins Low Carbon from Arup, where she was Senior Environmental Consultant in the London environment team. She has extensive experience working with clients on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) delivery for major and complex infrastructure projects including HS2, Thames Tideway and East West Rail.   Low Carbon, a certified B Corp, invests in both renewable energy developers and projects across a range of renewable energy technologies including solar PV, wind, energy storage, waste-to-energy and energy efficiency. 
Cyber and advanced technologies investor Paladin Capital Group has appointed Florence Mottay as an external Strategic Advisor.  A software engineer by training, Mottay is an experienced executive focused on information security and IT governance. She will help Paladin to assess potential investments in cyber security and support its European portfolio companies as they seek to expand globally.   Mottay is Senior Vice President of Information Security and Global Chief Information Security Officer of one of the world’s largest food retail groups, Ahold Delhaize, based in The Netherlands. Clayton, Dubilier & Rice has appointed Gordon Riske as an Operating Advisor to CD&R funds effective 1 January, 2022 after he steps down as Chief Executive Officer of KION GROUP AG, a global provider of material handlings equipment and warehouse automation solutions and software.  Riske will work with CD&R’s Industrials team in Europe to source new investments and advise the funds’ portfolio businesses. Riske has previously held several leadership positions at German headquartered industrial companies including Chairman of the Management Board of Linde Material Handling, Chairman of the Executive Board of Deutz AG, and Chairman of the Management Board of
Isotropic Systems, a provider of multi-link satellite terminals, has appointed Nigel Fox as Chief Finance Officer, effective immediately.   Fox will lead Isotropic Systems’ finance and corporate development activities in preparation for scaling into manufacturing, operations, and global service delivery of Isotropic Systems’ ground-breaking technology. Investors in Isotropic Systems include Boeing HorizonX Global Ventures, SES and Promus Ventures through its Luxembourg based space investment fund, Orbital Ventures, Seraphim Capital, Firmament Ventures, Space Angels and family office investors such as Waterlow Management Limited. 
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software specialist Cooper Software has made two senior appointments with Richard Lewis taking on the role of chair and Paul Bosson becoming a non-executive director following a multi-million pound investment backed by private equity firm YFM Equity Partners (YFM) in November 2021. Cooper Software is an independent provider of products, consulting services and 24/7 support for ERP, helping businesses manage day-to-day functions and bringing the flow of data between these processes into a unified platform. The business has provided more than 1,500 enterprise solutions for over 300 clients worldwide.
Law firm, Katten Muchin Rosenman UK LLP (Katten) has appointed partner Christopher Harrison to the firm’s capital markets group in London. Harrison joins Katten from Vedder Price where he was a partner.  With over 25 years’ experience in advising financial institutions, funds, corporate and government entities on complex capital markets and leveraged finance transactions, he brings with him a client-centric approach to the most elaborate equity and debt matters.   Prior to joining Vedder Price, Harrison was a partner at some of the largest law firms in the world including Latham & Watkins, Weil Gotshal and Manges, and Morgan Lewis.

CVC has has appointed Jiri Zrust as Partner and Head of Infrastructure. Jiri joins from Macquarie Group’s infrastructure funds business in London where he spent 10 years. Most recently he was a Senior Managing Director and Head of Energy Transition and was leading country coverage and origination across infrastructure and real assets in Europe. Before joining Macquarie, he worked for 17 years in the transport and logistics sector.
