Adrian Love – formerly an Investment Manager at Dorrington PLC – has joined Love Ventures to lead the firm’s PropTech sector investments ahead of the business’s latest early-stage tech fund launch. Love Ventures specialises in the FinTech, PropTech and ConsumerTech sectors. It is now preparing its second fund which will continue to invest in disruptive tech businesses at Seed-to-Series A while providing UK investors with EIS-eligible tax efficient opportunities. MacNeill Pride Group (MPG), a diversified global designer and manufacturer of outdoor products and sporting goods, and a portfolio company Centre Partners, has appointed Keith Bornholtz as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Bornholtz, who has over 30 years of experience in branded consumer products, joins MPG from Central Garden & Pet, where he was President of the pet distribution business unit and led a five year strategic transformation of their national multi-channel platform. Bornholtz previously held senior leadership positions at Yes To Inc., Big Heart Pet Brands, Clorox and Procter & Gamble. He will be based at MPG’s headquarters in Nashville,
Aliter Capital portfolio company Sponge Group has appointed Adam Poulter as its new Chief Executive officer (CEO). Poulter’s remit is to create an integrated portfolio of international elearning services, initially from the four strategic investments in digital learning that Aliter Capital has made in the last two years. The focus will be on consolidating and expanding a domestic position in the UK whilst developing the businesses’ footprint in Europe and the USA. British health technology company Visionable has appointed Christèle Brouste as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Antony Martin as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective immediately.   Visionable redesigns healthcare through a digital collaboration platform which enables clinicians to deliver better patient outcomes. The expansion of the company’s executive leadership team follows Visionable’s rapid growth in 2020, which saw GBP17 million of investment that the company raised in Series A and Series A1 funding rounds. Visionable has appointed Brouste and Martin to lead further expansion and innovation, and draw on their expertise to help drive growth in new markets and territories. 
Capital Law has appointed partner James Butters to its Banking & Finance team. Butters, who joins after over 20 years at Clifford Chance, where he was a partner in the firm’s London and Paris offices. He has acted for major corporates, private equity investors, and international financial institutions on all types of transactions, and brings a depth of expertise across finance, structured and corporate debt — in particular M&A financing and private equity sponsor-led leveraged buy-outs; all with significant emphasis on cross-border transactions.   Butters’ new role will support the growth of the business as Capital continues to enhance its reputation
Actis has promoted Abhishek Bansal and Nicolas Escallon, both Directors in its Energy Infrastructure team, to its Partnership. Bansal joined Actis in 2012 from the International Finance Corporation and has played a key role in establishing Actis as a leading energy investor in India, providing leadership on sustainability. Abhishek was instrumental in setting up Actis’ first renewable energy business  in India, Ostro Energy which was sold in 2018 as the largest renewables deal in India till date. He has played a key role in establishing subsequent renewable energy businesses in India including Sprng energy which is targeting 2GW of capacity.
