Ares Management Corporation has appointed Michael Schechter as Partner and Head of Credit Trading.
Based in Los Angeles, Schechter will oversee the trading of all bank loans, high yield and related credit instruments in the US and Europe. In this new position, Schechter will work with Ares’ existing senior trading professionals, portfolio managers and management to set and execute Ares’ trading agenda.

AMP Capital has appointed Ric Gordon as Head of Asset Management, Americas for its Infrastructure Equity business.
Gordon joins from Macquarie Capital, where he led asset management for the Americas, Europe and Asia since 2013. He has 15 years’ experience in private markets asset management, driving due diligence of investment opportunities, managing post-acquisition integration, and working with senior management to drive turnaround and performance improvement programs.

Ancala Midstream Acquisitions (Ancala Midstream) has appointed Eric Marston as Chief Operating Officer and Nick Harrison as Chief Financial Officer.
Ancala Midstream recently announced the acquisition of the Zennor-operated Finlaggan gas processing business and has grown its inventory of contracted gas volumes since taking operatorship of the SAGE system. The SAGE system now transports and processes gas from over 40 fields across the UK and Norwegian sectors of the North Sea.

Smith has also been appointed as member of the board’s audit committee, compensation committee, and nominating and corporate governance committee.
Smith is the executive vice president, global chief human resources officer for Sony Music Entertainment.
