Pappas Capital, an investor in early-stage life sciences companies, has promoted Kyle Rasbach, PhD, PharmD to a Managing Partner of Pappas Ventures, the firm’s venture capital business.  In his new role, Dr Rasbach will help to oversee Pappas Ventures and lead fundraising and investment efforts for its future venture funds. BGF has expanded its London team with the appointment of Rowan Bird as an investor. Bird joins from the M&A team at Lazard where he spent three years working as an Investment Banking analyst, specialising in basic industries and the natural resources sector. Bird’s role at BGF will involve all aspects of the investment process from building relationships with business owners, supporting opportunities through BGF’s investment process and actively working alongside a number of portfolio companies post completion. PMM Group, an alternative asset manager specialising in real estate & real estate debt, has appointed Richard Collins as Chief Operating Officer (COO), a newly created position.  Collins, who joins the firm as its seventh equity partner, will also be a director of PMM’s mortgage servicing business, Hampton Mortgage Servicing Limited.   Collins was formerly Chief Operating Officer and an equity partner at Europa Capital, the pan European real estate fund manager. Hetherley Capital Partners (Hetherley) has appointed three Senior Executives to its leadership team as it continues its expansion in the UK hotel real estate sector.  Stephane Lalou joins Hetherley as Executive Vice President, responsible for the commercial development of the business. Previously with private equity investor EQ Group and family office MBI Holdings (owner of JJW Hotels & Resorts), Lalou joins the team with more than 20 years’ experience in hotel investment, operations and asset management. Global Jet Capital, a specialist in financial solutions for business aircraft, has appointed Stefan Abbruzzese as Chief Commercial Officer. As head of the worldwide originations team, Abbruzzese will lead market facing activities focused on the development of new business. Dave Labrozzi has been appointed to the role of Vice Chairman at Global Jet Capital. Philip Duffy and Sarah Bell, both of Duff & Phelps, have been appointed Interim Managers of Northern Powerhouse Developments Limited effective Sunday 7 July 2019. The court order followed the appointment of both Duffy and Bell as Interim Managers of MBI Hawthorn Care Limited, MBI Clifton Moor Limited and Afan Valley Limited (“the Companies”), which took place on Friday 5 July 2019.   The appointment follows an application with the high court in London by seven investors who had invested in the Companies owned by Gavin Woodhouse.
