LDC, a mid-market private equity house, has further strengthened its proposition in Birmingham with the appointment of a new Investment Director.
Phil Hinson joins LDC’s now 11-strong investment team in the Midlands from PKF Cooper Parry, bringing twenty years of relevant experience to the firm.
In his new role, Hinson will be responsible for identifying potential investment opportunities, leading transactions and supporting LDC’s portfolio of investment companies backed by the Midlands’ team.
Hinson was previously a Partner at PKF Cooper Parry’s Midlands-based corporate finance team, with responsibility for deal origination and leading client engagements across the region. A

Colao, former Group Chief Executive of international communications company Vodafone Group, will advise General Atlantic and its portfolio companies as the firm continues to execute on its global growth investing strategy.

Gresham House, a specialist alternative asset manager, has appointed Catriona Buckley as Institutional Business Development Director, effective 1 July 2019.
Buckley has over 15 years’ experience building relationships and developing new business opportunities with global institutional investors.
She joins Gresham House from Fidelity International, where she was responsible for manager research and field consultant engagement with global and domestic investment consultants in the UK, and for direct client relationships in Ireland. More latterly, Buckley held the position of Investment Director in the Fixed Income team at Fidelity working with global distribution channels to define and execute commercial strategy.

Target Partners has appointed Wolfram Drescher as Venture Partner. The successful founder and CEO has over 20 years of experience in establishing and managing deep-tech companies in Silicon Saxony.

RedRidge Diligence Services has appointed Tom McClay to its New York office as Director. McClay will be responsible for providing buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence services for private equity groups, investment banks and corporate clients in North East USA.
McClay has extensive experience in financial due diligence, transaction structuring, deal negotiation and post-transaction assistance, having held a number of senior roles within the financial services space. Most recently, McClay served as Director at Grant Thornton LLP where, among other responsibilities, he supervised buy and sell-side financial due diligence.
