Options, a managed service and IT infrastructure provider to the global capital markets industry, has appointed former Finastra and OpenLink Financial executive Michael Russo to its management team.
Russo joins the New York team as VP, Product Management where he will be responsible for driving new business growth and supporting the firm’s Managed Application services.

Guernsey Finance is set to take a broader role in the development of the island’s financial services sector through the permanent appointment of Dr Andy Sloan as Deputy Chief Executive, Strategy.
Sloan (pictured), has been Acting Director of Strategy on part-time secondment from the Guernsey Financial Services Commission for the past nine months. He now joins permanently to oversee development of jurisdictional-wide financial services strategy through Guernsey Finance in line with the role set out in the Committee for Economic Development’s recently approved Economic Vision.

Accendo Capital has appointed Elise Auer as Director of Investor Relations. In her new role, Ms. Auer will direct business development activities for Accendo Capital and assume responsibility for ongoing communications and client service for existing fund investors.
Auer started her career in corporate finance and private equity investing and then in business development activities for alternative asset managers from new launches to established multibillion organisations – most recently at Broadwalk Asset Management and Galena Asset Management, part of Trafigura.
She is an active Member of the Executive Committee of the CAIA Association in London. Auer is a native of
UK mid-market private equity invester LDC has promoted Dan Smith to investment director, following a year of successful investments and exits.
Since joining LDC in August 2015, Smith has been involved in a number of the region’s most notable transactions. This has included supporting the firm’s GBP31.8 million investment in NBS, the commercial arm of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), in addition to the management buyouts of Skipton-headquartered Sigmat and Knaresborough-based Pelsis, the leading European manufacturer of branded pest control products.

Kroeze (pictured), joins the New York team as VP, Product Management where he will be responsible for driving new business growth and supporting the firm’s product development.
Kroeze brings nearly a decade of industry experience to Options from NYSE Technologies and Vela Trading Systems, where he oversaw the growth of the firm’s market data and hosted services product lines. Kroeze was instrumental in the expansion of the firm’s infrastructure,
Skip Hashimoto, managing director of Ogier Global in Tokyo, has been appointed to the executive committee of AIMA Japan.

MidOcean Partners (MidOcean), a middle market private equity firm focused on consumer and business services, has added it its private equity team.
David Kieselstein, current Executive Board member, has been appointed Chairman of the MidOcean Executive Board, while Steve Miller, who was previously Chairman, will continue as an active member of the MidOcean Executive Board.

Monarch Private Capital (MPC), an investor in tax credit projects, has appointed Daniel Irizarry as Director of Finance.
Irizarry, who has extensive bank finance experience, will assist in loan structuring, evaluate new investment opportunities, manage banking relationships, oversee internal financial controls, and provide input on strategic initiatives.

Apex Group (Apex), one of the world’s largest fund administrators, has appointed Joseph Holman as Global Head of Allocators for the Group.
Holman will manage relationships with institutional-sized investors and allocators worldwide and brings with him more than 25 years of industry experience in building and integrating businesses in the fund management space.
As Global Head of Allocators, Holman will report to the Group’s recently appointed Chief Revenue Officer, Fred Jacobs, and will be based alongside him in the New York office.
Prior to joining the Apex team, Holman held a variety of senior positions throughout the fund
Janney Montgomery Scott (Janney), a full-service wealth management, capital markets, and asset management firm, appointed 16 Capital Markets professionals in the second quarter of 2018.
Nine of the new hires came to Janney as a result of the firm’s May acquisition of HighBank Advisors, a Baltimore-based middle market investment bank and financial advisory firm. The acquisition also expanded Janney’s Investment Banking division’s industry group coverage to six by introducing Business Services to the already established verticals of Basic Industries, Financial Institutions, Healthcare, Infrastructure, and Real Estate.
