Global law firm Ropes & Gray has appointed Will Rosen as co-managing partner of its London office, to work alongside current office managing partner Mike Goetz. The appointment starts with immediate effect.
Rosen, who is also co-head of the firm’s international practice group, has been a partner at Ropes & Gray in London since 2011. He has over 20 years of experience advising private equity funds and corporate clients on M&A and private equity transactions.

EyeSouth Partners has appointed Rex Adams to the Company as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). EyeSouth is a network of affiliated medical and surgical specialty eye care practices in Georgia and the broader Southeast, formed by private equity firm Shore Capital Partners.
Adams will work closely with the senior leadership team and physician partners to provide strategic guidance and operating expertise to the Company’s practice network in support of a patient-first culture, while also pursuing organic growth and affiliation opportunities to expand patient access.

MMC Ventures has promoted Head of Research, David Kelnar, to Partner.
MMC has focused on the technology sector since it was founded in 2000. Under David Kelnar’s leadership MMC has built up a widely recognised Research function which it uses to guide its investment themes and to provide the entrepreneurs it backs with deep domain knowledge.

KKR has appointed Jacques Veyrat as a Senior Advisor to support the firm’s investment activities in France.
Veyrat is a senior French executive with deep experience across a range of different sectors. He currently manages his own company, Impala SAS, a diversified investment company with around EUR1bn net asset value, active in energy, manufacturing, consumer brands, and asset management. Before founding Impala in 2011, Veyrat served as Chairman and Chief Executive of the global merchant and commodity company Louis Dreyfus Group, and of telecoms company Neuf Cegetel before its acquisition by SFR.

Alternative investment manager Highland Capital Management has added two institutional business development professionals to its team – Laurie Whetstone as managing director, and Kieran Brennan as director.
The appointments have been made in anticipation of increased opportunities in distressed credit.

Marc Wursdorfer has joined UBS as a Managing Director and EMEA Head of the Private Funds Group.
Wursdorfer brings a wealth of experience in private equity fundraising and secondary advisory having joined us from Credit Suisse, where he spent 15 years, initially in investment banking both in Zurich and London before joining the Credit Suisse Private Funds Group in 2008.
He was responsible for capital raising throughout the Nordics in addition to sourcing primary fundraising and secondary opportunities.
Wursdorfer will report to Kevin Kuryla, Global Head of Private Funds Group in addition to Javier Oficialdegui, Head of CCS EMEA.
Angelo, Gordon & Co, an alternative investment firm focused on credit and real estate investing, has appointed Ryan Mollett as Global Head of Distressed Debt.
Mollett was most recently a Senior Managing Director of GSO Capital Partners LP, the global credit investment platform of Blackstone, where he focused on distressed and special situation investing. Mollett will report to Josh Baumgarten, Angelo, Gordon’s co-Chief Investment Officer.
