Business advisory firm FRP Advisory has strengthened its team in the Midlands with the promotion to partner of Arvindar Singh-Sall, who is based in the firm’s Birmingham office.
FRP Advisory Midlands team now comprises 31 staff, including six partners and five directors spread across offices in Birmingham and Leicester covering the West Midlands and East Midlands.

Private equity lawyer Fraser Dawson has been elected partner at Gibson Dunn, effective 1 January 2018.
Dawson, who is based in the firm’s Dubai Office, has experience in acting on a broad range of M&A and other corporate transactions including MBOs, JVs, secondary buy-outs, co-investments, consortium arrangements, restructurings, convertible loan issues and trade sales.
During his career, in both Europe and the Middle East, he has represented leading private equity institutions, well-known multinationals and ‘best-in-class’ regional corporates in highly publicised and market-leading transactions. He graduated in 2002 from the University of Edinburgh.
Idinvest Partners has appointed Charles Daulon du Laurens as Partner and Global Head of Investor Relations and Marketing.
Daulon du Larens will be in charge capital raising, investor relations and marketing functions on a global basis, managing teams based in Europe and Asia.
He joins from AXA IM-Real Assets, where he was Global Head of Client Capital Group and a member of the Executive Committee. In that role he had the global responsibility for the company’s third-party capital raising, client relationship management and client servicing, heading a team of 15 professionals across the US, Europe and Asia.

Victory Park Capital (VPC), an investment firm focused on middle-market debt and equity investments, has appointed Troy Jamison as chief risk officer (CRO) for the firm’s nonbank financial services portfolio.
Jamison is based in Chicago and reports directly to CEO and Co-Founder Richard Levy.
As VPC’s first CRO, Jamison oversees the assessment and management of risk within the firm’s credit and equity portfolios, as well as evaluates and executes investments and assists portfolio companies with strategic initiatives.

Global law firm Ropes & Gray has appointed Keren Rimon as counsel in the firm’s private investment funds practice in Boston.
Rimon joins Ropes & Gray from Harvard Management Company where she most recently held the position of Senior Vice President – Private Funds. In this capacity, Rimon provided comprehensive legal support to HMC’s hedge fund, absolute return and private equity portfolios. This included managing legal processes across a wide range of fund investment matters on behalf of the endowment. Palatine Private Equity has strengthened its UK team with the appointment of Gareth Wilson as Portfolio Operations Director to boost operational efficiencies across its portfolio.
Wilson is an experienced management consultant and joins the firm having worked as an independent consultant leading key strategic and cost saving projects for a number of private equity backed companies.
