Partech Ventures has promoted André Francois-Poncet to Principal and appointed Victor Huberson as a Senior Associate, based in Paris. Prestige has appointed Dr Phil Hobbs as a specialist finance arranger at Privilege Finance, a provider integrated specialist consulting and financial solutions for small businesses within the agricultural, farming and food related sectors across the UK. Schroders has appointed Reto Schwager as Chief Executive Officer of Schroder Adveq. Schwager joins from the financial services group Orix Corporation where he was Global Head of Private Equity at Robeco and member of the executive committee of Robeco SAM. Prior to that Schwager was a partner and member of the executive board at Partners Group. Before that he was chairman of AIG Investment (Europe).   Schwager will be based in Zurich and report to Stephen Mills, Executive Chairman of Schroder Adveq. He succeeds Sven Liden in the role of CEO and will join the company on 01 January 2018.
Macquarie Capital, the corporate advisory, capital markets and principal investment arm of Macquarie Group, has appointed Matthew Taylor as Head of Business Services, and Henry Elphick as a Senior Consultant to its European business. Taylor will report to Jacques Callaghan, a Senior Managing Director within Macquarie Capital, and Hugh Briggs, Head of Macquarie Capital Europe’s Capital and Principal Solutions Group, which deploys capital to facilitate client transactions. Taylor joins Macquarie from DC Advisory, with more than 10 years’ experience executing complex cross-border transactions in a range of businesses and services. Boutique investment bank Invenio Corporate Finance has appointed Chartered Accountant and M&A specialist Matteo Turi as a Partner. Turi has worked in a variety of industries, including renewable energy, utilities, retail banking, telecoms and water services, and has considerable UK and overseas experience.   Turi is an experienced Finance Director and holds several Non-Executive Director roles.
