Investcorp, a provider and manager of alternative investment products, has appointed Deepak Parekh, Chairman of HDFC Limited, to its International Advisory Board.
Parekh has played a significant role in the development of the financial sector in India, playing a leading role in the diversification of the business into banking, asset management, insurance, real estate and education. Parekh has been a leading advisor to the government of India and was an active member of the committees that shape policy in critical insurance, banking and infrastructure reforms.

Gridiron Capital has promoted Kevin Jackson to Senior Managing Director and a member of the firm’s investment committee.
Jackson joined Gridiron Capital in 2010 as a Vice President and was promoted to Managing Director in 2012. He is a Director on the Boards of several of Gridiron Capital’s portfolio companies including Dent Wizard, Rough Country and Tokyo Joe’s. Gridiron Capital recently closed its third fund in October 2016.

McDermott Will & Emery has appointed Michael McStay as a partner in the Firm’s Chicago office. McStay joins the Corporate & Transactional Practice Group with a focus on middle market private equity.
McStay will join forces with recent lateral and former Ropes & Gray colleague, Gregory Metz. Together they will counsel clients on complex transactional matters and advise private equity clients on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, debt and equity restructurings and divestitures.

Ogier has recruited experienced M&A lawyer Frederic Pilorget to its Luxembourg corporate and commercial law team to reinforce its German-facing desk.
Pilorget – who is admitted in Luxembourg, Paris and New York – has practised for more than ten years in Luxembourg, and will lead the German desk offering advice on Luxembourg corporate law and private equity to German clients.
He is one of four German speakers in Ogier’s Luxembourg team, including banking and finance partner Fabien Debroise, senior associate Julia Journee and associate Fiona Schneider. Pilorget will continue to lead the German desk on banking and finance matters.
European Fund Administration (EFA) has appointed Noel Fessey (pictured), to replace Thomas Seale as CEO, following the latter’s retirement at the end of 2017.
After two decades of leadership, EFA has become an industry reference in the Luxembourg fund industry. Thomas Seale was recruited by EFA shareholders back in 1997 and has led the company ever since.

Global law firm Dentons has appointed Antonella Brambilla as a partner in the firm’s Corporate and M&A practice. Based in Milan, she will focus on the development of the Capital Markets offering in Italy.
Brambilla joins from Chiomenti law firm, where she worked for 15 years, nine of which she served as a partner. She has significant experience in equity capital markets. She assists Italian and international clients in extraordinary transactions of listed companies in regulated and non-regulated markets, public offerings of financial instruments, listings on the stock exchange, takeover bids and exchange offers, as well as corporate governance matters.
Agrobusiness-focused Céréa Partenaire has appointed Simon Baccelli as Director in the Céréa Dette team.

GPB Capital has appointed Dan Alper, former CEO of Major Energy Services, as a Senior Advisor and part of the team to identify and execute potential acquisitions in the retail energy sector.
