Steve Berry, Macquarie
Macquarie Specialised Investment Solutions (MSIS) has appointed Steve Berry (pictured), as Division Director of its Fund Finance business.  The Fund Finance business specialises in providing bilateral and syndicated lending transactions to investors in, and sponsors of, top-tier private equity and hedge funds.   Based in London, Berry will be responsible for expanding existing credit fund financing capabilities and driving the expansion of Macquarie’s Fund Finance coverage in Europe, focusing on opportunities across private equity and private debt funds. Steve will report to Pratap Dasgupta and Mike Vitelli, co-heads of the business, both of whom are based in New York.

Private equity fund administrator Gen II Fund Services has opened a new office in Boston, Massachusetts. Blackstone (NYSE:BX) has appointed Katsuyuki Kuki as Chairman and Representative Director for Japan. Kuki will advise and support Blackstone’s investing and capital raising efforts in Japan as the firm continues to expand its presence in the country. Prior to Blackstone, Kuki was the Chairman of Banking at JP Morgan in Japan and spent nine years at the company in various leadership roles within their Investment Banking division. Boutique alternative investment consultant Atrato Advisors has hired Julie Mauser (pictured), to lead the firm’s business development efforts.
