Macquarie Specialised Investment Solutions (MSIS) has appointed Steve Berry (pictured), as Division Director of its Fund Finance business.
The Fund Finance business specialises in providing bilateral and syndicated lending transactions to investors in, and sponsors of, top-tier private equity and hedge funds.
Based in London, Berry will be responsible for expanding existing credit fund financing capabilities and driving the expansion of Macquarie’s Fund Finance coverage in Europe, focusing on opportunities across private equity and private debt funds. Steve will report to Pratap Dasgupta and Mike Vitelli, co-heads of the business, both of whom are based in New York.
CloudScale Capital Partners has appointed private equity veteran Kim Perdikou as a Partner.

Independent fund, trust and corporate services provider Crestbridge has appointed Michael Newton (pictured), as Head of Fund Services in Jersey and John MacFeeters as Client Director.
Newton and MacFeeters will join current Crestbridge Directors Sarah Rayson, Elliot Refson and Alex Le Quesne with a remit to develop the firm’s international funds proposition from its Jersey office.

Private equity fund administrator Gen II Fund Services has opened a new office in Boston, Massachusetts. In addition, the company has appointed Shaun Buckley, who will be based in Boston, as Managing Director.
Buckley comes to Gen II from State Street, where he had broad responsibility for private equity fund administration and reporting across an institutional client base.

Blackstone (NYSE:BX) has appointed Katsuyuki Kuki as Chairman and Representative Director for Japan. Kuki will advise and support Blackstone’s investing and capital raising efforts in Japan as the firm continues to expand its presence in the country.
Prior to Blackstone, Kuki was the Chairman of Banking at JP Morgan in Japan and spent nine years at the company in various leadership roles within their Investment Banking division. He began his career at the Japan Development Bank and at Shearson Lehman Hutton in New York, and has also held senior leadership positions at UBS Securities and Lehman Brothers in Japan. Kuki
Enterprise Ventures, part of Mercia Technologies PLC, has expanded its early-stage equity team with the appointment of Jonny Sharp as Investment Manager.
Sharp joins Enterprise Ventures’ new Leeds office as a member of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund (NPIF) Equity Team covering the Leeds City Region and is focused on early-stage growth capital investments into innovative, high growth businesses in the region.

Boutique alternative investment consultant Atrato Advisors has hired Julie Mauser (pictured), to lead the firm’s business development efforts.
Mauser had previously been Vice President of Marketing at Par Four Investment Management, a credit-focused hedge fund. Prior to joining Par Four, she was a member of the Capital Introduction team at Jefferies & Company.
Atrato, led by partners Brian Reich and Janna Sobolev, has added capabilities in private credit over the past year, and has been increasingly busy in the private equity space as it advises its family office and institutional clients.
