PrivatEquity.biz, the first secondary market trading platform in Israel, is expanding its activities in the UK.
The platform, which was launched a few months ago, is offering private and institutional investment managers in the UK the opportunity to establish in-house VCs which invest in the secondary market in Israel, focusing on growing private Israeli hi-tech companies.
The company is negotiating with a number of UK-based entities in order to establish its extension in London.

Neuberger Berman Private Equity has named two industry veterans – Michael DeVirgilio and Cory M Baker – to lead its entry into the brand acquisition, licensing and management industry.
The platform, Marquee Brands, will seek to identify, acquire, and manage high quality brands with global opportunities across all consumer segments.
DeVirgilio will serve as president of Marquee Brands and Baker will serve as its chief operating officer. Bridges Ventures has appointed James Hurrell as an investment manager in its sustainable growth funds team.
Bridges’ third Sustainable Growth Fund, which closed earlier this year at GBP125m, is expanding its portfolio.
Hurrell joins from ISIS Equity Partners where he was an associate director. There he was responsible for making new investments as well as portfolio work with existing investments. He maintained a particular focus on healthcare and education, with completed deals including Create Health (a provider of fertility services) and YSC (a firm of business psychologists).

Groupe LFPI has appointed Erin Sarret to the newly-created role of head of investor relations.
Sarret has worked in asset management at AXA IM in Paris and alternatives at Morgan Stanley AIP in London, Wilshire in Amsterdam and Access Capital Partners in Paris.
Since 2001, she has been a frequent contributor to asset management and alternative forums across Europe.
Sarret is a lawyer by training having started her career as a litigator in San Francisco.
Wellington Financial has appointed Rob Helm and Sean Lynden as partners.
Helm and Lynden will be based in Wellington's new office in San Jose, California.
Helm joins Wellington with 14 years of experience financing high-growth technology businesses. Prior to joining Wellington, he was a partner with Gold Hill Capital, with responsibilities for transaction sourcing and adjudication. Before he joined Gold Hill in 2003, he spent three years with Silicon Valley Bank.

Private equity real estate firm Ten Capital Management has appointed Ed Oprindick and Paul DiSandro to lead the firm’s acquisitions and dispositions team.
Prior to joining TCM, Oprindick and DiSandro held senior positions at Hunt Investment Management.
