BGF, established to help the UK’s growing smaller and medium sized businesses, has appointed Sarah Ledwidge as an investment manager, based in its Bristol office.
Ledwidge will be responsible for identifying investable local businesses in Hampshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire and the Thames Valley, and working with them to achieve their growth plans.
Her appointment brings BGF’s Bristol-based regional investment team to nine people.

Brookside Equity Partners has appointed Richard T Dell’Aquila as a managing director.
Previously, Dell’Aquila was a managing director at Parallel Investment Partners in Dallas, Texas, where he was involved in sourcing, evaluating, structuring, managing and exiting several private equity investments.
Before joining Parallel, Dell’Aquila was a principal at Southfield Capital Advisors and was also previously affiliated with Sasco Capital, Pangea and Bear Stearns, where he began his career in the investment banking group.

Accountancy firm Monahans has appointed Stephanie Hurst to the position of corporate tax manager.
Based at the firm’s Bath office, Hurst specialises in business and corporate tax, research and development relief, mergers, acquisitions and business restructuring.
Hirst qualified as Chartered Tax Advisor in 2013. She joins Monahans with almost 10 years of practice experience.

BNP Paribas Securities Services has appointed Nick Jenkins as head of technical for trustee and depositary services in the UK.
Jenkins has 30 years’ experience in the trustee and depositary industry.
He joins from Citi where he was head of fiduciary oversight and research.
At BNP Paribas he will work with asset manager clients to help them manage regulatory change and ensure a smooth transition to the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) and Ucits V regimes.

Preqin, the alternative asset industry data and intelligence specialist, has appointed David Brierwood as a non-executive director.
He joined the board on 12 August 2014.
Brierwood holds a wealth of experience in investment data analytics and solutions, most recently in his role as chief operating officer of MSCI, which he held from 2006 to February 2014.
Prior to his role at MSCI, Brierwood worked for Morgan Stanley for 20 years and held a variety of senior positions, including global risk manager of the Morgan Stanley equity division and chief operating officer of Morgan Stanley’s institutional and retail securities
Marc Lim has joined tax firm WTAS as a managing director in the commercial and alternative investment funds practices in the San Francisco office.
Prior to joining WTAS, Lim spent nine years as a tax practitioner in Japan and was a partner at Zeirishi-Hojin PricewaterhouseCoopers in Tokyo.
A Bay Area native, Lim spent six years prior to Tokyo servicing technology clients as an international tax practitioner at both PricewaterhouseCoopers and Arthur Andersen in San Jose, California.

Johan Terblanche has joined global law firm Dechert as a partner in the financial services group. Terblanche, who was most recently a partner at Loyens & Loeff, will be resident in the firm’s Luxembourg office.

Private equity firm Ridgemont Equity Partners has appointed three new investment professionals and promoted Seth Peck to vice president.
Charles Anderson and Ben Hosler joined the Charlotte office as vice president and associate, respectively, and Mark Pollak joined the Dallas office as an associate.
