Akina, a specialist advisor to private equity vehicles, has promoted Ralf Gleisberg to partner with immediate effect.
Gleisberg joined the company in 2005. He advised on fund investments in France, the Benelux and the Nordic countries and helped defining country strategies.
Gleisberg was also instrumental in setting up the portfolio monitoring for Akina advised investment vehicles.
Gleisberg has over 15 years of experience in the financial industry with focus on private equity and corporate finance.

Private financial cloud provider Options has appointed former NYSE Euronext executive Richard Hughes as senior vice president, managing director for Europe.
Hughes, who was most recently responsible for global business development at NYSE Technologies, NYSE Euronext’s commercial technology division, will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s wider European division and associated efforts to drive new business growth, deliver service excellence and further develop Options’ regional relationships and broader European presence.
Hughes brings 25-plus years’ experience in building and developing high performing teams and selling complex business integration solutions to the financial services industry.

Senior partner Mark Salter also joins Bowmark’s management committee alongside Kevin Grassby and Charles Ind.
The internal reorganisation follows the recent fundraising of Bowmark Capital Partners V, which closed in December 2013 at its cap of GBP375 million. The new fund’s investment period begins this month and it will invest in growth-oriented service companies, typically with enterprise values of up to GBP100 million.

Darryl Eales is to step down from his role as chief executive officer of private equity investor LDC on 1 May after 11 years in the position.
Chris Hurley, deputy CEO, and Martin Draper, chief investment officer, will lead the business as co-heads and chief executives of LDC.
As part of an existing succession plan, Eales (pictured) will step down from the LDC board but will continue his involvement with the business in a part-time advisory chairman role and support the final phase of the transition plan to new leadership. He will also retain a number of board roles
Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy has appointed Michael “Ben” Garcia as special counsel in the firm’s global securities practice group in the New York office.
Garcia brings corporate finance and capital markets experience to Milbank.
He regularly advises issuers and underwriters in cross-border securities offerings, with a deal book that spans from Latin America to Europe, Asia and North America. He has counselled leading financial institutions and investment banks, as well as private equity firms and corporate issuers. In addition to advising on debt and equity offerings, he has advised on M&A transactions, commercial financings, leveraged buyouts and IPOs.

Bushery’s public and private accounting experience spans almost 30 years. For the past decade, Bushery served as chief financial officer and chief compliance officer at Falconhead Capital, a lower middle-market private equity firm based in New York City, where he was responsible for administration, finance, compliance and HR.
