Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO has appointed Chris Bellairs as partner within the financial services practice.
Bellairs has over 16 years' experience as an auditor and adviser across the Financial Services industry.
He joins BDO from PwC, where he led the insurance and investment management internal audit advisory service, and acted as senior statutory auditor on a number of external audits in the fund management sector, across traditional asset managers, private equity, real estate and hedge fund managers.

Law firm Reed Smith has appointed partner Winston Penhall and associate Matt Evans to its funds group in London.
Both Penhall and Evans re-join Reed Smith following their moves to KPMG, in 2012 and 2013 respectively, where Penhall was the founder and leader of the KPMG funds law team.
Penhall has a broad funds practice, advising on the formation of alternative investment funds, including: hedge funds and private equity funds; the establishment of onshore and offshore investment managers; the review and negotiation of fund wrapped and managed account investments for institutional investors; and the drafting and negotiation of manager
Angus Taylor has joined JTC Group as group head of fund services.
He joins JTC from Herald Trust Company, where he worked as the managing director since 2012.
Prior to that, Taylor’s role was deputy chief executive officer for Kleinwort Benson Private Bank.
Taylor will primarily be responsible for leading the growth strategy for the JTC Fund Services division across all of the group’s international jurisdictions.

FF&P Private Equity, a UK lower-mid market growth private equity investment firm, has appointed Kenny Miller to the newly created role of finance director.
Miller joins FF&P Private Equity from Hutton Collins Capital Partners, the London based mid-market private equity house, where he was financial controller.
Prior to Hutton Collins, Miller held private equity fund accounting roles at 3i, where he was fund controller for the USD1.2bn Indian Infrastructure Fund and fund accountant for the GBP3bn European Buyout Fund.
Prior to joining 3i he also held fund roles at State Street and Bank of New York.

Mark Muth has joined PwC as a director in its London-based corporate finance team.
He was formerly director of Unilever Ventures, the venture capital arm of Unilever plc, from its creation in 2002 until 2013.
Prior to that, Muth was a managing director of GE Equity, the private equity business of GE Corporation.
Muth began his corporate finance career with Bank of America.

Apollo Global Management has appointed Robert K Kraft to the company’s board of directors and to the board’s conflicts committee, effective immediately.
Kraft’s appointment to the newly created position will bring the number of independent directors on Apollo’s board to five out of a total of eight seats.

CTPartners has appointed Andrew Duncan as co-managing partner in the UK private equity practice in the firm’s London office.
He will co-lead the practice with managing partner, Guy Barnes.
Duncan previously served as an operating executive for many years. His work specialises in building talent teams within portfolio businesses, playing an active role through all stages of the process from pre to post-deal.
Duncan held several leadership and executive positions in both private and public companies with over 25 years of experience in consumer and telecommunications sectors. In addition, he is a successful entrepreneur and has led several
Milestone Group, a provider of fund processing solutions to the funds industry, has appointed Robert Caporale as managing director and head of North America.
Caporale (pictured) brings 30 years of experience in financial services and technology.
He spent the last 12 years at JPMorgan where he held senior leadership positions in strategy, business management and sales within the Investor Services business line.
Caporale has worked extensively with asset managers, alternative investment managers, insurance companies and pensions. Prior to JPMorgan, Caporale held senior positions at IBM, Deutsche Bank and Fiserv.

Law firm White & Case has strengthened its UK banking practice and increased its focus on the representation of private equity sponsors with the addition of new partner Colin Harley in the London office.
