Middle market private equity firm Wynnchurch Capital has appointed Robert Burgess to its newly formed executive advisory board.
Burgess was previously chairman and chief executive of Pulte Homes, one of the US’s largest homebuilders.
Other leadership positions Burgess held during his 19-year career at Pulte include senior vice president corporate development and president and chief operating officer.
"The depth of Bob's knowledge in the building products industry will greatly augment our efforts to expand our portfolio in this area," says John Hatherly, founding partner, Wynnchurch.

Palamon Capital Partners has appointed of Philippe Arbour as managing director of structured finance and Antony Barker as director of investor relations and marketing.
Arbour joins Palamon having spent ten years with Lloyds Banking Group, where he worked in a variety of roles spanning trade finance, specialist credit and leveraged finance. Most recently, he was a director in the leveraged finance and high yield team. Between 2010 and 2011 he was seconded to 3i as a director in its banking team.

Palatine-backed MoneyPlus Group, one of the largest providers of debt advice in the UK, has appointed Ellie McKinnon as director of insolvency operations.
With over 20 years’ experience, McKinnon joins the company from consumer financial services business Fairpoint and has also worked at Deloitte, with skills in corporate and personal insolvency and risk and compliance.
In her new role, McKinnon will work with individuals and businesses to provide advice and debt solutions to clients.

Altius Holdings, the parent company of Altius Associates Ltd, has appointed Joseph Crumbling to the board of directors.
The appointment was confirmed at a meeting of the board on 5 December 2013.
Crumbling is a vice president of T Rowe Price Group and T Rowe Price Associates. His role is that of assistant to the president. Prior to this position, he served as a general manager in both the third party distribution and investment operations divisions of T Rowe Price. Burren Capital Advisors has appointed industry veteran Frank Dejonckheere to its investment team.
Dejonckheere will join the firm as senior research analyst from Hadron Capital where he focussed on long/short relative value with a catalyst and special situation opportunities.
In his new role Dejonckheere, under chief investment officer Andrew McGrath, will be responsible for overseeing the relative value component of the portfolio as well as supporting the investment team in all other event arbitrage situations.
Dejonckheere started his career in private equity M&A at Citigroup and Merrill Lynch in London before joining Cogent Partners in New York.
Private equity-backed Aptuit has appointed Jonathan Goldman as chief executive officer, completing the company's senior management leadership team.
Goldman will focus his efforts on the growth of Aptuit as a provider of outsourced services in the early development space by establishing new partnerships with clients and pursuing strategic acquisitions.
