Active investor MMC Ventures has expanded its team with the hire of Camilla Dolan, as Investment Manager, and Anna Slemmings, in Marketing.
Before joining MMC, Dolan was a Case Team Leader at Bain & Co where she specialised in fin-tech. She has an MA in Law from Merton College, Oxford University. Prior to University she founded an equine business. As an Investment Manager, Dolan will source new deals and execute both new deals and follow on funding.

Global law firm White & Case LLP is strengthening its EMEA private equity practice with the addition of partners Ian Bagshaw and Richard Youle in the London office.

Nick Land has been appointed Chairman of The Guidelines Monitoring Group, the body established to review the private equity industry’s conformity with the Walker Guidelines.
In addition, Glyn Parry has been appointed as an independent member of the Group.

Actis, the pan-emerging markets private equity firm, has appointed Sachin Korantak as Head of Industrials and Andreas von Paleske has joined as Director of Consumer.

Piper, a specialist investor in consumer brands, has recruited Dan Stern to its in-house team. With more than 10 years of experience in the consumer sector, Stern joins Piper as Investment Director.
Stern previously spent four years in the consumer team at 3i, where he worked on the acquisition of GO Outdoors and the sale of the restaurant chain Giraffe.
An economics and management graduate from Oxford, Stern began his career in audit and consulting at Deloitte before moving into corporate finance at Dresdner Kleinwort. As well as being part of Piper’s investment team, Stern will also join the
Actis, the pan emerging markets private equity firm, has appointed Neil A Brown as Partner and Head of Investor Relations.
Brown spent a number of years at Citigroup in New York and London as a business head within Citi’s Alternative Investments business, which at its peak managed more than USD100 billion in assets. Brown was a member of the business leadership group, leading a team working on product development, sales, client service and AI research. Neil was subsequently with Allco Finance Group in Sydney as Head of Funds Management and Head of Debt and Equity Capital Markets.
