BUMP Network has appointed hedge fund manager Gregg Parise as its new president and chief financial officer.
In his dual roles, Parise (pictured) will continue to build value in the company and manage its team and operations.
Parise will report directly to Mitch Thrower, the chief executive and chairman of BUMP Network.
Parise has 20 years of portfolio management and financial market experience. He has spent the last 12 years as the founder and portfolio manager of various long/short equity hedge funds, including LINC Asset Management, Calimar Capital and Dorado Capital Management.

Kohlberg Kravis Roberts has appointed Joseph J Plumeri, former chairman and chief executive officer of The Willis Group, as a senior advisor.
Plumeri (pictured) is also joining the board of directors of First Data, a KKR portfolio company.

Bank of the West has appointed John C Thurston, the bank’s commercial banking regional manager in Chicago, to also head the bank’s private equity team.
In addition to his role of developing and managing relationships with middle-market companies in Chicago and the surrounding area, Thurston (pictured) now also leads a team of bankers dedicated to building and expanding relationships with private equity firms and financing their middle-market portfolio companies across the US.

Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking’s acquisition finance division has appointed Eric Jenkins as a director.
The experienced hire supports the bank’s offering to private equity firms and corporates targeting buyouts and refinancings in the large deals segment (EUR500m plus of debt), including those transactions funded via the high yield bond market.

Alternative asset manager The Carlyle Group has appointed Susan E Arnold, former Procter & Gamble president of global business units, as an operating executive in its global consumer and retail group.
She takes up her post in September.
