Global management consultancy firm AT Kearney has appointed Alberto Fumo as senior principal to reinforce the company’s position in private equity consultancy.
This appointment is part of the continued growth the practice has experienced, and will expand its presence in the UK and Europe.
Fumo has 14 years of private equity consulting and corporate strategy experience. During his career he has become a leading practitioner in private equity consulting gaining significant expertise in corporate merger and acquisition deals, private equity transactions, marketing strategy in consumer/luxury product goods and media/entertainment, and corporate turnaround and transformation.

Law firm Goodwin Procter has named Bradley Bugdanowitz as chair of its San Francisco office.
Bugdanowitz (pictured) is a partner in Goodwin’s business law department and a member of its private equity, technology companies and life sciences groups, focusing on merger and acquisition transactions, securities offerings and corporate governance. He joined Goodwin as a partner in 2008.
Bugdanowitz works with clients in structuring and executing minority and control investments, acquisitions and dispositions as well as public and private securities offerings. His recently completed transactions include representing JMI Equity in its investment in Paradigm; NIKE in its strategic partnership with DyeCoo
SL Capital Partners, a private equity fund of funds manager, has promoted Patrick Knechtli and Mark Nicolson to the position of partner and Jamie Ebersole to managing director.
These promotions will be effective on 1 January 2013.
Knechtli (pictured), who joined SL Capital’s Edinburgh office in 2009, will lead the firm’s secondary investment programme, an area in which SL Capital has been increasingly active and which it plans to expand further. He will also take a lead role in pursuing and transacting primary fund investments and direct co-investment opportunities.

Origo Partners has appointed Shonaid Jemmett-Page as a non-executive director and vice chairman of the company with immediate effect.
She succeeds Christopher Jemmett as vice chairman who will become senior independent director of the company.

Diversified private equity firm AXA Private Equity has appointed Benoît Verbrugghe as a member of its executive board.

Private equity firm CVC Capital Partners has appointed James (Jim) Schiro as a senior adviser to the firm.
Schiro (pictured) will become a member of CVC’s US and global financial institutions advisory boards to support CVC’s investment activities in the US and in the financial services sector globally.
Schiro has extensive experience in the financial services industry, having held management positions at a number of large, global organisations. David Bresnick is to join Morrison & Foerster’s London office as a partner in the corporate practice.
Bresnick (pictured) represents technology and telecom companies in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, private equity investments and related matters.

Maples Fund Services has expanded its US operations with the hire of Megan Corcoran as director of business development, Americas.
Based in New York, Corcoran will focus on expanding opportunities for continued growth of the fund services business in North America and South America.

Law firm Baker & McKenzie has appointed London-based partner Simon Hughes as chair of the global private equity group.
