PwC has appointed Stuart McKee (pictured) to the role of corporate finance leader in the UK. McKee was previously responsible for the mergers and acquisitions business within corporate finance and has a background in the retail and consumer sector.
Neil Sutton, the outgoing leader, has taken on the role of chairman of corporate finance, focussing exclusively on generating and leading transactions, managing key clients and building the profile of the corporate finance business.

Square 1 Bank has appointed Phil Gager as Senior Vice President covering the Northeast region, and Ella van Gool (pictured) to the same position out of Square 1’s Menlo Park office covering the Silicon Valley.
Gager spent 10 years with Capital Advisors Group serving venture-backed companies most recently as Senior Vice President of Business Development, where he brought in over USD800 million in new assets, 40 new client relationships and opened up new markets in the Midwest and Southeast regions. He originally joined the firm as a member of the marketing department and rose to the level of Marketing Director.
LDC, a leading UK mid-market private equity firm, has appointed Yann Souillard (pictured) as Managing Director of its Southern region. Souillard replaces Kevan Leggett who announced his retirement earlier this year.
Previously a Director in LDC’s London team, Souillard joined the business in 2004 following seven years at Barclays Leveraged Finance. During his time in London, he focused on LDC’s full GBP2 million to GBP100 million investment range and played a key role on transactions including Sala International, a document archiving and records storage company, and Microlease, a provider of electronic test and measurement equipment.

Aurora Russia Limited has appointed Gilbert Chalk and Geoffrey Miller to the board of the company as non – executive directors.
Chalk (63) is a British citizen with extensive private equity and banking experience with Baring Private Equity Partners Limited and Hambros Bank Limited. Chalk also has considerable listed company expertise and is currently a board director of two listed companies, Castle Private Equity AG, a private equity and venture capital fund of funds and Vantage Goldfields Limited, an ASX listed South African Gold Mining Company.

Proskauer has continued the expansion of its global corporate practice and London office with the addition of Peter McGowan, who will join the firm as a partner.
McGowan has broad-based experience in UK and EU regulatory matters governing the full range of corporate transactions, as well as funds structuring across private equity, retail, real estate and hedge funds. He advises on outsourcing, M&A, fund administration and custody arrangements in the investment management sector and counsels principals and agents in the investment services industry on private stock lending, foreign exchange and derivative trading arrangements. Josh Cleveland (pictured) has joined Clairvue Capital Partners as Partner. Cleveland is a former Director of Business Development at Liquid Realty Partners, where he worked with Clairvue’s founding partners, Jeffrey Giller, Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer, and Brendan MacDonald, Partner.
Cleveland will be joining Jeff Granoff, a Principal who started with Clairvue in January, in Clairvue’s New York office.
Clairvue invests in real estate funds, operating companies and other types of real estate vehicles by providing financing for their recapitalisations or restructurings, and by acquiring limited partnership interests from incumbent investors on a secondary basis. Clairvue was established in
Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank Corporate & Structured Finance has expanded its services with the launch of a new corporate asset finance team.
Ian Barr, who is head of Clydesdale’s existing asset finance function, will lead the new team which will provide asset finance to mainly listed companies and larger privately owned businesses. Ian is joined by four new arrivals – Iain Corbett, Gordon Young, Neil Roberts and Peter Burton – all of whom have moved from Fortis Lease UK.

Actis, the pan-emerging markets private equity investor, has appointed Joe Sinyor (pictured) as a partner and head of the firm’s Value Creation Group. Based in London, Sinyor will be working closely with Actis’s portfolio companies to add value by driving operational and strategic improvements.
Sinyor joined Actis in May 2011, and brings a broad range of experience as well as a wealth of contacts, both in and beyond private equity, to Actis. Avendus Capital (UK) Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Avendus Capital Pvt Ltd, has appointed Roger Yeoman as its Head of Institutional Equities for Europe. In this role, Yeoman will support Avendus UK in expanding distribution for the broking and capital markets business of Avendus Capital Pvt Ltd.
Yeoman, who will be based in London, has over three decades of experience in global equities. He has spent most of his professional life at Morgan Stanley, where he last served as the co-head of its relationship management initiative for the combined fixed income and equities sales and trading business for
