PvXchange, a leading online business-to-business exchange for photovoltaic components, has announced that Mark Zaleski will begin chairing its advisory board with immediate effect.
Zaleski has a long track record of building value into multi-country online businesses including Dailymotion, Ricardo PLC, DVDPost and Webvan Inc. PvXchange itself has seen rapid growth with the expansion of the international solar-energy market in recent years, with 184MW of modules being traded on the platform last year.

European private equity firm Cinven has appointed Jorge Quemada as a partner heading the firm’s investment activities in Iberia. He will be a member of the Business Services sector team.
Quemada joins Cinven in September 2011 from 3i, where he worked for over thirteen years. Prior to leaving the firm, he was one of two full time partners leading investments based in 3i’s Madrid office.

Marc Moyers has been named National Sector Leader of the US Private Equity Group of KPMG LLP, the US audit, tax and advisory firm has announced.

The GBP2.5 billion Business Growth Fund (BGF) has appointed Alistair Brew (pictured) as an investment director, based in London. In a move to expand the midstream and upstream energy deal-making capabilities of its private equity practice, international law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP has added Rodney L Moore (pictured) as a partner in the firm. He joins Weil from Vinson & Elkins LLP and will split his time between Weil’s Houston and Dallas offices.

Tim Stracke, CEO of Chrono24 GmbH, has joined Munich venture capital firm Target Partners as a Venture Partner. At Target Partners, the serial entrepreneur and business angel will focus on startups and business concepts in the areas of ecommerce and software.
