Harris Williams & Co has appointed Michael Wilkins as a managing director leading the firm’s Technology, Telecom & Digital Media (TTDM) Group’s efforts on the West Coast in the US.
Wilkins joins the firm with a wide range of experience and industry knowledge as well as strong relationships with strategic buyers and leading private equity and venture capital groups worldwide.

Sean E Murphy has joined Evercore Partners’ Investment Banking business as a Senior Advisor. Murphy, who will be based in Chicago, will focus on advising clients in the health care industry.
Murphy was most recently a Corporate Vice President and Head of Business Development and Mergers and Acquisitions at Abbott Laboratories, Inc. His career at Abbott spanned three decades, including operations management, such as running the vascular business after the acquisition of Perclose, and leading Abbott’s external development effort for ten years. UK-based private equity firm Electra Partners has added Chris Hanna as an investment partner. Hanna, who joined 1 September, joins from Phoenix Equity Partners where his investments included Nationwide Autocentres, NFT, ASCO and Ashtead Technology Rentals.
Hanna will work alongside Alex Fortescue and the other Investment Partners in investing Electra Partners’ GBP350 million investment capacity in what the company expects to be a very good period for investing.

F&C Investments, the London-listed GBP108 billion asset management group, has hired Stuart Hastie as an Associate Director with responsibility for business development in its Edinburgh-headquartered private equity funds team. Hastie’s role includes investor relations, fund raising and new product development.
Hastie joins F&C with 15-years experience in the investment and banking industries. Ray LaSoya has joined US law firm Stroock & Stroock & Lavan as a Partner, with immediate effect. LaSoya will be resident in the firm’s Los Angeles office and will serve as the National Chair of Stroock’s Private Equity Practice Group.

Jefferies has appointed James Seagrave as a Managing Director in the firm’s Global Financial Sponsors Investment Banking Group. He will be based in the firm’s London office and will focus on coverage of UK based financial sponsors.

Louis S Caiola, Jr has joined Dome Equities as a partner responsible for distribution of the firm’s real estate private equity offerings.

TA Associates, a global growth private equity firm, has appointed Jeffrey A Del Papa as a Senior Vice President in the Services Group. He will focus on recapitalisations, management-led buyouts and growth capital investments in business services companies.
