Citi’s Global Transaction Services has expanded its private equity and real estate services capabilities for investment managers and investors based in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Citi has appointed Kamran Anwar as product head for the region.
Citi has also established a client service team in Dublin as part of the broader effort to service private equity clients across the region.

Bowmark Capital, a mid-market private equity firm, has recruited two members to its investment team.
Richard Mathews has joined the firm as a partner and Dylan Bourguignon as an investment director.
Mathews brings with him more than ten years’ experience of private equity investment with HgCapital, where he was latterly responsible for the firm’s consumer and leisure investments team. He began his career as a strategy consultant with Braxton Associates before joining HgCapital in 1998.
Bourguignon has been a UK mid-market private equity investor since 2004, having previously worked at NBGI Private Equity and Cognetas, where he executed and monitored
Los Angeles-based investment firm Pacific Capital Group has appointed Robert Hertzberg, former Speaker of the California State Assembly, as venture partner.
Hertzberg, an attorney, will continue to work as senior partner at Mayer Brown.
He is co-founder and a director of G24 Innovations, a solar technology company based in the UK, and first vice chairman of the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation.
Hertzberg was twice unanimously elected Speaker of the California State Assembly and served in the California Legislature from 1996 to 2002.

Paul Scott has been named chief investment officer and head of sponsor coverage for GE Capital’s leveraged finance business in Europe and the Middle East.
Scott will report to James Fenner, president and chief executive of GE Capital’s leveraged finance business.
Scott will focus on building long-term relationships with private equity firms through GE Capital’s coverage of mid-market sponsors. He will also oversee all secondary market investment opportunities and further develop GE Capital’s existing partnership with Mubadala GE Capital in the Middle East.

Panorama Capital, a Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm, has promoted Shankar Chandran and Gaurav Aggarwal to partner.

Dorchester Capital Advisors, a California based SEC registered investment advisory firm, has hired Kyle McDaniel and Jay Van Ert as partners serving as chief strategy and administrative officer and as partner over portfolio construction, respectively.
They will complement the existing team in hedge fund research, portfolio construction and risk management and will be appointed to the firm’s management committee where they will help manage the firm and implement long term strategic initiatives.
McDaniel most recently served as chief risk officer and manager in strategic research and risk management for Teacher Retirement System of Texas, one of the largest pension plan
PineBridge Investments has hired George R. Hornig as senior managing director and chief operating officer.
He will oversee the finance, operations, legal and compliance, technology, product development, and marketing and communications divisions.
Based in New York, will also serve on the firm’s executive committee.

Darwin Ventures, a private equity firm focused on venture capital, has appointed Jay Bhatti as a general partner and Zach Heilman as lead engineering manager.

Dunedin, the mid-market private equity house, has hired David Williams as a director in its London office.
Williams will be responsible for sourcing and executing new investments for Dunedin’s GBP250m buyout fund.

The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, an investment institution owned by the Government of Abu Dhabi, has appointed James Kester as chief investment officer in is private equities department.
Kester will be responsible, together with members of the department’s senior management team, for developing ADIA’s strategy in the private equity space and overseeing the activities of the private equity programme.
Based in Abu Dhabi, Kester will report to Hareb Al Darmaki, executive director of the private equities department.
Kester joins ADIA from Zurich Alternative Asset Management in the US, where he served as head of private equity and a member of
