Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets has appointed Nigel Myer as director and credit desk analyst reporting to Alan Capper, head of credit strategy. Myer has over 25 years of financial markets experience including over 13 years in banks and insurance research. He joins from Macquarie Securities. Previously, he was head of financial institutions credit research at Dresdner Kleinwort.   Capper says: “I am delighted Nigel is joining Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets. Nigel is a very senior and widely respected analyst and he will be instrumental in the evolution of our credit desk offering.”

Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets acquisition finance has appointed Jeremy Perl as a deal director for its mid-market team in London. He will report into Ian Sale. With over 18 years of experience at Lloyds Banking Group, Perl joins from the Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets’ growth finance team where he originated and structured debt packages for early stage or turnaround businesses. Prior to this, he spent a number of years working as head of the UK mid-market team at Lloyds TSB Loan Syndications and has experience at LDC, as well as in the debt capital markets and equity capital markets divisions.

The Blackstone Group has appointed John G. Finley as a senior managing director and chief legal officer, effective 1 September 2010.  Finley is currently a partner at the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, where he is head of the global mergers and acquisitions group. In becoming Blackstone’s chief legal officer, Finley will be succeeding Robert L. Friedman, who will continue at Blackstone for a period of time before retiring from the firm. In this newly created position, Osment will join the leveraged credit sales team covering banks and leveraged investors for both bonds and leveraged loans. Churchill Financial, a middle market focused commercial finance company, has promoted Chris Cox to managing director and chief risk officer and Thomas Hennigan to senior vice president and head of underwriting and portfolio management group.
