Law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges has added John Fadely to its Hong Kong office as a partner and a member of the firm’s global funds practice.
Fadely (pictured) has extensive experience in Asia representing international and Asia-based sponsors in the formation and restructuring of Asia-focused private investment funds, including private equity funds, real estate funds and hedge funds, as well as in the formation of joint venture investment vehicles and carried interest plans.
Fadely has also been active in representing institutional investors in private funds, including the formation of sizable co-investment vehicles.
Fadely, who is fluent in Mandarin Chinese,
Hatteras Funds, a provider of alternative investment solutions for financial professionals, has named Brian Jacobs chief executive officer.
Founder and former chief executive David B. Perkins will continue as chairman, working closely with Jacobs on overall corporate strategy and investment management.
Jacobs (pictured) will lead a senior executive team of Robert Worthington, president, Michael Fields, chief operating officer, and Lance Baker, chief financial officer.

Future Capital Partners, an alternative investment boutique, has created a major accounts team to strengthen the firm’s client service expertise.
The new team consists of Tim Barker (pictured) who joins as major accounts director, and Susie Feeney who has been appointed as business development associate.
The team will work closely with Future Capital’s existing clients, as well as the IFAs, wealth managers, financial institutions and accountants through whom Future Capital’s products are available.
The team will also help to identify new clients and will be responsible for developing and strengthening relationships with key intermediary firms.
Barker has 25 years of
Centerview Partners has appointed Skip Paul, a media and entertainment veteran, as a senior adviser in its advisory practice.
Paul will be a key participant in Centerview’s expansion in the media and entertainment sectors, and will be based in Centerview’s Los Angeles office.
Paul has achieved success across an array of sectors from motion picture and video games to theme parks and social networking companies.
He brings to Centerview transactional and operational experience working with both established and emerging companies and management teams.

SV Life Sciences has appointed Paul Wallace, an executive with over 18 years of experience in healthcare services operations and private equity investing, as a venture partner.
Wallace will be working on the SV Life Sciences healthcare services team.
Wallace was most recently senior vice president of Healthways, a Nashville-based provider of disease management, wellness and population health support solutions. His roles at Healthways included oversight of strategic planning, corporate development and sales and marketing.

Chapman will reside in the New York office.
