JPMorgan Chase has promoted Reuben Ong, who has worked at the firm for more than 13 years, to Head of Southeast Asia Debt Origination, which will see him leading the private credit financing business in the region, according to a report from Reuters.

Garnett Station Partners, a New York-based principal investment firm that manages $2.2bn of assets, has appointed Justin Nihiser as Operating Partner to focus on the firm’s growth strategy in the child education and enrichment markets.

Alternative investment giant Blackstone has appointed Thomas R Nides, former longtime Vice Chairman of Morgan Stanley, Deputy Secretary of State, and Ambassador to Israel, as Vice Chairman, Strategy and Client Relations.

Law firm Otterbourg has promoted Michael Rich, who represents banks, hedge funds, PE funds, commercial finance companies and other institutional to a Member of the firm in its banking and finance department.

LBC Credit Partners, a middle market direct lending platform and a division of CIFC Asset Management, has promoted Homyar Choksi, who joined the firm back in 2007, to Deputy Chief Investment Officer. 

BDO, a provider of business advisory services with a revenue of $12.8bn, has promoted Jamie Austin to Head of Global Private Equity. Austin has been part of the firm’s global PE leadership team since its inception.

Levine Leichtman Capital Partners, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm, has appointed Brian Klaban as the firm’s new Head of Capital Markets and as a Director on the originations team. Klaban will be based in LLCP’s Chicago office.

Optima Partners, a global regulatory compliance and risk management advisory firm, has appointed Michele Foldenauer, most recently an Exam Manager in the private funds unit of the SEC’s National Exam Program, as a Director.
